There’s so much levity and buoyancy in Powel’s music that you might be surprised he’s from a small town in East Germany. After he started out with the piano as a kid, he went on to play in bands, producing tracks that got heavy radio play. When he started DJing in 2008, he used his indie, rock and pop roots as seasoning, serving up house music that’s deep, but not dark. Powel toured extensively with his bands and regularly appears at international festivals and clubs - including the Robot Heart bus at Burning Man, Germany’s Fusion Festival, and All Day I Dream parties around the world. Over 20 years of being on the road and all over Berlin’s club scene inform Powel’s tracks, remixes, and sets that all manage to play your heart like a fiddle. Giving you sounds for feelings you didn’t know you had, Powel seamlessly weaves ethereal, dreamy narratives over beats that shake you every which way. His genre-hopping, spanning afterhour clubs to documentary film scores and everything in between, makes his music reliably expert, but always keeps you on your toes. He defies all solitary DJ tropes, constantly forming new collaborations and cranking out new sounds.Their RA profile lists Wunderbar Recordings, FINA Records, All Day I Dream, Sound Avenue and 6 more.often with Alakazam, AP Solis, Atric, none of them here that night

their own biography
the whole biography
Christian acquired his love of electronic while growing up in the UK. It wasn’t until he moved to New York, however, that he would attend his first underground party and find the sound that would capture him and inspire him to step behind the decks himself. Since then, Christian has become a staple of the underground scene, a party enthusiast, and an avid techno tourist. After some time as a free agent, Christian’s sophisticated taste in music earned him a residency for Bespoke Musik where he has entranced audiences with thoughtful, layered DJ sets. In 2021 he became a resident of Beachouse in Ibiza, where he provides the soundtrack for sunny days on Playa D’en Bossa. He has also recently joined the All Day I Dream roster, having contributed multiple videos to the All Day I Stream series, as well as being booked to play All Day I Dream events at Space Nightclub in Miami, Cova Santa in Ibiza, and the All Day I Dream festival in California. His music blends a focus on the low end frequencies with a melodic, sometimes melancholic touch. The end result is just as suited to a nightclub dancefloor as a desert sunset, with enough versatility for everything in between. Life came full circle with the brand that helped launch him; Christian currently manages the Bespoke Musik record label and runs the brand with founder and friend, Rocky Raminceanu. The second Bespoke label release was a collaborative side project with German All Day I Dream artist, Powel. The two met in Brooklyn whilst sharing the lineup for Christian’s first Bespoke residency, marking the start of their musical partnership and Christan’s foray into musical production. Some of his notable bookings include Gazgolder and Leveldva in Moscow, Fabric in London, Piknic Electronik in Montreal, Flash in Washington DC, Café D’ Anvers in Antwerp, Sisyphos in Berlin, Output and Cityfox in Brooklyn, Do Not Sit on the Furniture, Space and The Electric Pickle in Miami, Beachouse and Cova Santa in Ibiza, and Robot Heart, the 747, Miki Beach and Pink Mammoth at Burning Man.Recently at SILO, Hearsay, Bogart House · often with Lovecraft, OBA+FLIP, Iman Rizky, none of them here that night
