Born and raised in Queens, a city dweller and a club kid, Kilopatrah has an innate and superlative gift for transferring energy from the booth to the dance floor—through exciting house, techno, and jungle, and moments that both harken to Sound Factory–era glory days and bring you to sweaty BPMs of the future. Their sets are palpably personal: The dance floor has always been a powerful platform for expression for Kilo, once as a freeing and connecting space for a quiet house dancer and now as one for moving others like them. When Kilo gets going, you’ll lose sense of the kick drum versus the beat of your own body against the floor. That’s a gift from them to you, and your percussion is a gift back to them. Kilo brings their energetic sass to a monthly Lot Radio residency and to parties with impressive lineups, playing alongside Todd Terry home in New York, at the legendary Movement weekend Club Toilet in Detroit, and for Boiler Room. Their mixes, for series such as Coloring Lessons, Honcho, and Juanita’s, and for spots on Rinse and Refuge, also capture the club at its most euphoric. You’ll step a little harder with Kilopatrah Jones. Words by Sacha Madadian

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Nick León’s dystopian club music samples the sounds of Florida’s diverse ecosystem, but his style has varied fearlessly along the way. Finding his way into the rap world at a young age, he collaborated with some of the biggest underground rappers in South Florida. He also gravitated early towards the Latin sounds coming out of Puerto Rico and Colombia, and as a self-taught producer and DJ in Miami, he felt compelled to shift his focus to his own work. After pivoting towards textural elements and buried melodies, Nick released a handful of projects, one of them being his Aguacero EP under Mexico’s celebrated NAAFI imprint. It encapsulates the growing anxiety in a city threatened by the very things that help make it beautiful, inviting you to dance through the impending storm of uncertainty ushered in by climate change. As of recent, Nick released his highly anticipated Xtasis EP on TraTraTrax which featured DJ Babatr and remixes by Doctor Jeep and Pearson Sound. He also started 2022 on a high note, claiming a production credit on one of the most well reviewed albums of the year – MOTOMAMI by Rosalía. With coveted spots on Miami’s III Points festival, various film scores, and further production for a slew of artists, Nick León’s hands are full and his music is teeming with real life.
Their RA profile lists Future Times, Naafi, Kebrada, TraTraTrax and 2 more.

“Soo Intoit began DJ'ing in 2020, when booked for a Zoom party.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Soo Intoit began DJ'ing in 2020, when booked for a Zoom party. Believing it was a drag booking, she was informed a week before that the party actually wanted her to play music for an hour. After spending lots of time going out and working as a host, and frequently mentioning the desire to be a DJ, she decided this was the time to commit. She had her beginnings (other than the aforementioned Zoom party) in intimate basement gatherings, and later on rooftops. With her job being closed at the time, she was at an advantage, and practiced very frequently. By late 2021, she was presented with her first opportunity to produce a party--which is now CRITICAL HIT. What started as a bi-weekly Wednesday party with humble attendance, evolved into an event that maintains a strong following and crowd, and now takes place once a month on the weekends. This party features a PS2 at almost every event, and sometimes operates games at other parties, showing her interests in building communities around mutual hobbies, as well as providing a unique experience in what she does. The gaming influence is reflected in her DJ sets, too. She produces Juicy Fruit, a recurring bar night with a focus on danceable music the crowd can sometimes sing along too, and Omega. Omega is her sci-fi themed dance party, which she co-produces.
