Hailing from the vibrant landscape of Detroit's East Side, emerges Shawescape Renegade, fondly referred to as Shaw, a maestro of Electro, Techno, and Techno Bass. With three Vinyl EPs under his belt, Shaw made his debut in 2018 under the moniker J Shaw, later evolving into Shawescape for subsequent albums, compilations, and remixes. A fervent champion of Electro, he proudly stands as one of its dedicated proponents. Shaw's affinity for Electro traces back to his formative years, where he was steeped in its melodies and rhythms. Since then, he has delved deeper into the intricacies and frameworks of its sonic landscape. Shaw is currently gearing up for the release of a new EP slated for 2024, which he's independently producing. His schedule is packed with exciting ventures—he'll be gracing Berlin from August through September, courtesy of Musicboard Berlin & Detroit - Berlin Connection. Following that, he's bound for Spain in October. With much more on the horizon, Shaw's journey promises to be an electrifying one.Their RA profile lists Sound Black Recordings, HCR, Militant Science and Eudemonia.often with GLOBUS, TRESOR, Fireground, none of them here that night

the whole biography
To sum it up best, Juno sees techno as a textbook through culture and history. The Queens, NY-born Jamaican DJ has always gravitated toward electronic music since they were younger, but it wasn’t until after their time living in Germany and North Carolina that they realized how much deeper this music goes. Through their own research and the guidance of the owners of the former NC record store 641 RPM (shoutout E&T), they discovered the roots and sound of the music we all love. Underground Resistance, DJ Bone , Jay Denham , and many more acts and individuals inspired them and shaped what this music means to them, as well as what it can teach to so many, such as themes of resistance, community, and humanity. Now living back in Queens, they’ve been making their way around the circuit, playing at notable spots like Bossa Nova Civic Club, Signal and H0L0 , where they’ve shared the stage with techno OGS such as Joey Beltram, Adam X, DJ Shufflemaster, Mike Dearborn, and Shawnscape Renegade. While their growth may not be exponential, they’re truly in this for the long game and the love of the sound. Picking up records in late 2023 only deepened their passion and knowledge of music, and they’ve become increasingly comfortable with their style, showcasing it whenever they can in the new NYC music scene.Recently at Mood Ring, H0L0, Bossa Nova Civic Club · often with LINDA, KYRUH, wahala.wav, none of them here that night
