Soo Intoit began DJ'ing in 2020, when booked for a Zoom party. Believing it was a drag booking, she was informed a week before that the party actually wanted her to play music for an hour. After spending lots of time going out and working as a host, and frequently mentioning the desire to be a DJ, she decided this was the time to commit. She had her beginnings (other than the aforementioned Zoom party) in intimate basement gatherings, and later on rooftops. With her job being closed at the time, she was at an advantage, and practiced very frequently. By late 2021, she was presented with her first opportunity to produce a party--which is now CRITICAL HIT. What started as a bi-weekly Wednesday party with humble attendance, evolved into an event that maintains a strong following and crowd, and now takes place once a month on the weekends. This party features a PS2 at almost every event, and sometimes operates games at other parties, showing her interests in building communities around mutual hobbies, as well as providing a unique experience in what she does. The gaming influence is reflected in her DJ sets, too. She produces Juicy Fruit, a recurring bar night with a focus on danceable music the crowd can sometimes sing along too, and Omega. Fiery, euphoric, and genre-bending, moistbreezy’s DJ sets electrify dance floors from NYC’s underground to global festival stages and European megaclubs. Named an "international artist to watch for 2024" by London’s The Standard and Dublin’s Hot Press, moistbreezy has brought her pop-forward spin on trance to legendary venues and parties, including Razzmatazz, Melkweg, 2much, Boiler Room, Igloofest, and Outside Lands. As an internet darling with a cult following, moistbreezy has sold out exclusive vinyl runs for three full-length projects. Her latest concept album, Inferno, earned a spot on PopCrush’s "Best Pop Albums of 2024" list alongside pop heavy-hitters like Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, and Charli XCX. Her extensive catalog also includes trance tracks for TDJ’s SPF INFINI series and a release through Paris-based party 2much’s label Tekno Kawaii. A leading voice in NYC’s emerging trance scene, moistbreezy co-founded hulaHOOP, a high-energy, euphoric hard dance club night and mix series that centers women, LGBTQ, and POC DJs.
