the whole biography
Neonlichter’s knack for finding contrasts and polymorphic textures across genres has garnered acclaim and scorn in equal measure, most memorably deemed “complete dystopian garbage”. With a background in college radio - and having learned and practiced mixing live on the air - they have little regard for stylistic purity. Whether through astral zoners, geometric music, low speed chuggers, or transgenre freakouts, the search is always for the space between the notes. This versatility has led them to play alongside established and cult artists including Vladimir Ivkovic, Kiernan Laveaux, David August, Gigi Masin, Scott Zacharias, Paquita Gordon, Mike Servito, and Jessy Lanza, while mixes for established platforms as Brilliant Corners, Invisible City, The Lot Radio, and Mysteries Of The Deep showcase the depths of their digging and knack for narrative and juxtaposition.
