From ethereal techno to entrancing breaks and hypnotic East Coast-inspired club music, her prolific sound embodies the spirit of the underground. After years of throwing DIY parties & club nights across NYC and Tokyo, her label Starry records (2025) is now blazing a new sonic path for dance music, with her latest releases earning coverage from DJ Mag, Resident Advisor, and SoundCloud. “His music moves a dancefloor the way a great soundtrack moves through a game, laced with a melancholic imagination that listeners clock immediately.”

His music moves a dancefloor the way a great soundtrack moves through a game, laced with a melancholic imagination that listeners clock immediately. The tracks are brought to life through visualizations from longtime collaborator Nam Mac, whose work channels similar influence— together they've built a world for listeners to get lost in, one that's been synced with campaigns for Marc Jacobs' Heavn, Adidas, and G-Shock. The breakout moment came during a support set for Sammy Virji at Elsewhere in Brooklyn, when a clip of wev's edit of the Cowboy Bebop theme "TANK!" went viral, racking up tens of millions of streams and extending his universe through the same kind of playful reference that defines his production. That connection has come full circle through games themselves— "watchyaback!" became a standout on the OST of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, the critically acclaimed spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio, and "shigoto werk" was placed in Rocket League in early 2026. Built independently and grown organically from New York and Tokyo outward, his debut album OST— as in original soundtrack, the format that first carried this music to him and now the definitive statement of his own, arrives May 2026. The album traces dance music's lineage through the games that carried it to a new generation, then brings it back to the source. wev has toured internationally, with a debut album run spanning North America, Asia, and Europe planned for 2026.Recently at Dead Letter No. 9, Elsewhere, Musica Club NYC · often with OSSX, Stonie Blue, DR. Blending classic house with the raw energy of percussive dance, and ghetto tech, Dennis creates a sound that’s both soulful & rhythmic with driving basslines. His sets—ranging from 120 to 140 BPM—have an undeniable pulse that pulls dancers into a communal trance which has quickly allowed him to carve out a name as one of the most exciting young tastemakers in dance music. Dennis has graced iconic stages like London’s Fabric and Drumsheds, sharing bills with notable acts like A-Trak, Loco Dice, Peggy Gou, Carlita, HoneyLuv, Questlove, Moodymann & more. Alongside features in Rolling Stone, Office Mag and Resident Advisor, Dennis’ influence stretches beyond the booth. As a founding force behind Brooklyn’s Level III Collective, the grassroots movement that started as a humble apartment party has now evolved into a multifaceted collective known for its vibrant, inclusive community of clubbers & music fans alike.
