Jeremy Giros is a Dominican-American multidisciplinary artist who has always existed at a nexus of creative influences. Growing up immersed in NYC’s art, dance, and party culture, he developed a finely tuned instinct for being able to create moments that speak directly to the body and soul. His sound glides effortlessly through House, Afro-Latin rhythms, soulful gems, and heavy club grooves—each selection purposeful, never overplayed, always with the dancer in mind. In the club, he doesn’t just play crowd-pleasers; he builds trust, guiding dance floors with deep cuts, heavy percussive grooves, and moments of joyful surprise that hit just right. Jersey-born, Queens-based producer Kala Btz fka DJ Kala is a familiar name to the NYC music scene. As a Red Bull Music Academy Alumni he has performed in venues across the country, from New York's Webster Hall to The Lash in LA, to mainstay events like Bonnaroo Fest and South by Southwest, and has shared the stage with artists such as Anna Morgan and Machine Girl. Having grown up listening to everything from punk,to rap, and drum n bass, Kala produces an eclectic and hybrid sound that crosses genre barriers and mood, with cinematic and dance floor appeal. His forward- thinking, energetic sound has led to guest DJ mixes with The Lot Radio, Reprezent Radio, Half Moon,NTS Radio, Boiler Room and Rinse FM. Kala's self-released music has also been featured on The Fader, Thump,Mixmag and FactMag. With an audio engineering and music production degree from the Institute of Audio Research, he has scored independent films such as LeDenier Combat through Videology. His desire to cultivate with precision and quality is unmistakable.
