Who they are
“Spekki Webu was born into contrast, half Afro-American, half German, raised in the Netherlands and shaped by a history of black music.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Spekki Webu was born into contrast, half Afro-American, half German, raised in the Netherlands and shaped by a history of black music. Long before he became the artist he is today, he was already listening deeply. Exploring scenes. Observing people. Absorbing stories. What started as curiosity turned into devotion, not to genres, but to a psychedelic stream of sound that refuses to be boxed. Moving through the formative underground of hardcore and freeparty culture, Spekki embraced experimentation from an early age. Making music and playing records were never career moves, but natural extensions of his lifelong observation practice. He didn’t chase styles; he time-traveled through them. Carrying forward what mattered, leaving behind what didn’t. Music became a lifestyle. Freedom became method. Both on and off stage, Spekki is known for his explosive energy and direct presence, yet beneath it lives a profound sensitivity for community and spirituality. Through his Mirror Zone label, he welcomes talented outliers into a space where differences can exist and sound has many colors. As he often states, “Mirror Zone is a mirror of life,” reflecting the introspective vision behind his label and audiovisual projects such as Signal Transmutations. Today, Spekki operates at the forefront of the global electronic music scene while remaining grounded in the same values that shaped him decades ago: autonomy and creative freedom. “Don’t let yourself be fooled into thinking you belong in one place. Stay open-minded.” Like a reptile shedding its skin, his transformative craft is an open invitation to step into ever-evolving states of sound.Their RA profile lists Blue Hour, MIRROR ZONE, Amniote, positivesource and 4 more.Recently at Nowadays, Paragon, public records · often with Ellen Allien, Lilian Stark, Carmen Electro, none of them here that night

“Lydo is a Filipino-born Vietnamese-American sound artist.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Lydo is a Filipino-born Vietnamese-American sound artist. As a resident DJ of BASEMENT NY, their distinctive sets explode the parameters of techno, deftly cutting across genres while retaining a highly personal emotional resonance. Whenever Lydo plays, it’s best to leave your expectations at the door and simply prepare for an unexpected array of sonic thrills, ranging from visceral and grooving to mind-bendingly experimental. A trans artist themselves, Lydo launched X-TRA.SERVICES to serve and create space for queer, trans, and nonbinary people of color. This ethos of care and insurgent collectivity runs through their broader practice. They have performed at Berlin Atonal, Draaimolen Festival, Bourse de Commerce, and Bassiani, as well as subterranean parties and festivals across North America, Europe, and Asia. Beyond the club, Lydo works with sound through installation, composition, and curation. Their abstract, experimental work spans museum and institutional contexts, including MoMA PS1, SculptureCenter, and Kunsthalle Basel, among others. In 2025, they launched care., an itinerant series for live and experimental sound that continues to explore new sonic forms in unexpected contexts.Their RA profile lists X-TRA.SERVICES.Recently at BASEMENT, Gabriela, Paragon · often with The Carry Nation, Juana, Shaun J. “The Konduku back catalogue runs from ambient to broken beat electronica, but a techno sensibility remains at the core of all his work.”

The Konduku back catalogue runs from ambient to broken beat electronica, but a techno sensibility remains at the core of all his work. Albums on Nous'klaer Audio and Delsin Mantis afford plenty of space to take in the full scope of his sound, while singles for labels like Bitta, Spazio Disponibile and amenthia have all confirmed his influence as a producer testing out new possibilities for immersive dance music. At the same time, Konduku's DJing channels the vast, atmospheric quality of his own music into a more direct, floor-focused approach that orbits around constant, understated pressure. It's a clear-sighted, intentional flipside to the productions he's so well known for, perfected since his early days as a De School resident and successfully delivered across the club and festival landscape with a full-bodied commitment to physical and mental movement.Their RA profile lists Delsin, Idle Hands, Bitta, Nous'klaer Audio and 6 more.Recently at Bossa Nova Civic Club, public records · often with TRESOR, GLOBUS, K Wata, none of them here that night
