Born and raised in Uptown New York, Alexis channels his Dominican heritage and deep passion for electronic music into performances that transcend both genre and expectations. With a strong curatorial approach, Alexis has become a sought-after figure in queer nightlife, performing in spaces such as Nowadays, Basement, Signal, Good Room, Papi Juice, and Nocturnal Emissions where he currently holds a residency. Alongside his club work, Alexis has developed an artistic sound practice through residencies for contemporary art institutions, including David Zwirner, BOFFO, and The Kitchen. Within these spaces, he has created immersive sonic environments and compositions that bridge performance, installation, and experimental sound—further deepening his multidisciplinary approach. Most recently, Alexis marked a new chapter in his artistic evolution with the released his debut EP, ARE THERE ANY HOMOSEXUALS?, and toured Sydney, Australia with HOUSE OF MINCE during their PRIDE festival, further expanding his global reach. Bobby Got Back is a household name in NYC nightlife. He first developed his sound by throwing a series of parties called Private Practice in Brooklyn, which spanned the years 2016-2019 and hosted artists like Yaeji, Jubilee, Acemo, Kush Jones, and quest?onmarc. He has lended his talents to parties like The Spectrum, XCAKES, New World Dysorder, and Distrikt1, in addition to dropping multiple sets over the airwaves of The Lot Radio and Hör Berlin. His sets focus on speedy Techno, hypnotic Trance, and heavy DnB moments sprinkled with decorative glimmers of Baile Funk, Miami Bass, Jersey Club, and other regional sounds collected from his frequent travels. Last year he hosted a monthly 6-hour takeover on Brujas' Radio Bonita at XPizza in LES, highlighting some of the best and brightest up-and-coming DJs in NYC.
