Since the start of her DJ career, she has hit the floor running playing all across New York's dance scene in clubs such as Bossa Nova Civic Club, Mansions, Million Goods, Elsewhere, and best of all, deep in the underground. Her ethos is rooted in community, flow, and connection on the dancefloor. Many describe her style as "sexy/cunty", as she is always making sure to leave plenty of room for humor in her sets. Whether it be acid house, jazz, trance, or electronica, datadata keeps her approach fresh, intriguing, and cheeky. Her foundations lie in indie rock bands and audio engineering, where she was able to hone her songwriting, production and performance skills. As a founding member of the krautrock synth group Operator Music Band (2014-2024), she began to find her voice that included sarcasm, wit, and silliness. This clever, yet lighthearted perspective is a key element in her selections as a DJ. With multiple forthcoming remixes on deck for 2026, her current discography includes 'Phone Xone' (Fortune Signal, 2025), 'Say Yea' (Bastard Jazz, 2025) and 'I JUST GOT MY PERIOD' (self released, 2024). Shaped by years of going to the source—from NYC, Chicago and Detroit to Tokyo and other cities across Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia—immersing himself in underground scenes, learning directly from key figures and local communities, and performing on storied dance floors along the way, he has developed an authentic voice as a multidisciplinary artist on and off the floor. As a DJ, he crafts sets that are heavily informed by his background as a dancer: playful and daring, shifting in rhythm and pace across genres while being deeply rooted in queer lineages of house and club culture. An active member of the ballroom, whacking and house dance scenes, he draws on years of shared practice to give their movements and stories space at the center of the night, where they are lived rather than referenced. theoretic is Jersey-raised, Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, educator, & event curator entrenched in the beating heart of Brooklyn's underground music scene. Their sonic craft spans a fusion of House, Techno, Disco, NY Garage, Soul, & Black club music without limits, across borders. Whether spinning via digital waveforms, or from their vast record collection, their style is a symphonic medley that compels even the most restrained feet to move. theoretic currently holds residencies at beloved club ANIMAL, and a monthly radio show at Hi-Note Radio. They created the long-standing party series "House Anatomy" at Jupiter Disco for their former residency, and is now the creator & curator of an online DJ interview series "SCRIMMAGE." They've played for crowds at acclaimed venues such as Elsewhere, Eavesdrop, Le Bain, Good Room, Outer Heaven, Mood Ring, Nowadays, Earthly Delights, Cafe Erzulie, Soho House, & beyond. theoretic has also spread their talents internationally; they've contributed an all-vinyl set for the series My Analog Journal, played for the Hamburg festival Kampnagel, and shared decks with legends from A Guy Called Gerald, to Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale.
