the whole biography
Petal Rose is a NY-native, Brooklyn-based DJ and producer just trying to figure their shit out. Born and raised by God-fearing Guyanese immigrants, music was never taken seriously unless it was in the context of the church. For lack of a better phrase, music became their god, and they’ve been a loyal worshiper ever since.Recently at The House, The People's Forum, Anything · often with CMD+JAZMINE, BBYGRL, EEVEE, none of them here that night

Preacher’s Daughter is a DJ, sound artist, and writer whose practice is rooted in curation as storytelling. Guided by rhythm, tension, and release, her sets unfold patiently, allowing atmosphere, percussion, and emotional movement to shape the dance floor. Moving through rhythm, texture, and tension, she builds sets that carry lineage, politics, cultural memory, and a coherent emotional world. She builds immersive dancefloors that reward close listening as much as physical and internal movement. Her selections prioritize texture, negative space, and raw rhythmic energy, inviting dancers into moments of reflection, collective intensity, and transformation.Recently at The Living Gallery, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Mood Ring · often with LTE, zabe, Astriks, none of them here that night
