Oakland’s Lil Zé (@aquanettalashangelaboo) arrived from space bringing along with them sounds from across the universe and the African and Black diaspora. Heavy drums, vocal chants, loud energy, are both the destination and the journey - making it impossible not to move to her genre-defying music history lessons. Catch her mixing on Lower Grand Radio, Fault Radio or listen back to her mixes for NTS, Dublab, Cult Classic, Balamii Radio.Recently at 154 Scott Ave, H0L0, Jade · often with Meia Noite, DJ Guari, 8ULENTINA, none of them here that night

Massachusetts born and Brooklyn based artist, producer and audio engineer Sophie Sawaya MacArthur, better known as Swaya, has spent a lifetime exploring the possibilities of storytelling and meaning making through sound. Raised by Brazilian and American parents, she spent her childhood studying violin before becoming disillusioned by the lack of creativity classical studies offered. She found her musical home on the internet becoming obsessed with hardcore punk, hip hop and experimental electronic music. A graduate of Communications Studies at Concordia University, she spent 5 years in Montreal where she was an active member of the music scene, performing her music at MUTEK, Pop Montreal, Slut Island, Never Apart, Datcha and more. Since she began posting her music online in 2016, Swaya has released 5 EPs and countless tracks, edits and mixes, consistently pushing and reinventing herself with each release. Beyond her personal artistic work Swaya is also an established producer and audio engineer, currently working with Brooklyn producer Tony Seltzer at his studio Seltzer Sounds. Pauli Cakes is a New York born and based sound curator known for bringing people together and getting them moving. The DJ, community organizer, spirit raiser, performer, multi-faceted artist and founder of collectives DiSCAKES and xCAKES is an unmistakable figure in New York's underground queer rave scene. They've made a heartfelt impact on the nightlife circuit with their iconic raves, musical influence, organizing work, contributions to harm reduction and efforts to raise thousands of dollars for bail out organizations such as F2L, Black and Pink and The Friendly Commisary Fund and independent initiatives such as the COVID19 RELEIF FUND and various fundraisers for Queer New Yorkers in need. Pauli believes that limitations and binaries can be transcended through music, communion and creative expression. Pauli’s sets have been described as a “break neck wonderland” and a "Spirit Raising Journey Through Sound". Their sound is a high energy, genre bending experience filled with sonic eclecticism and colorful sound adopted from their stomping grounds of NYC.Recently at Bossa Nova Civic Club, Superior Ingredients, Happyfun Hideaway · often with Xana 101, SKIN CONTACT, Vice, none of them here that night

Papi Weli was raised in a community where Baile Funk, Pagode, and Samba can be heard all day at every corner. This helped shape his DJ career which started in 2014. He has been heard on many stages in New York such as Apollo Theater, Baby's All Right, Bossa Nova, Brooklyn Monarch, Chocolate Factory, Elsewhere, Kinfolk, SOB's, Sonny Hall, The Sultan Room, Trans-Pecos, and more.
