For the last decade, Jack Mulqueen has subtly carved his nightlife niche in New York City, putting forth a string of cult-classic clubs and lounges, commencing with Nighty Night and The Black Lodge, continuing with Make Believe, most recently Outer Heaven and Laissez Faire, and a yet-to-be-revealed third venue on the way in Summer of 2026. Music has always been an integral component of these clubs, eschewing current trends in favor of a timeless rave sound. Nowhere is this more apparent than Outer Heaven, a venue of his design, now widely regarded as one of the top nightlife destinations in New York City for house and techno music, and where he continues to preside as owner/operator and music director. Since the club's inception three years ago, Mulqueen's 6-hour all-nighters have garnered a reputation as an eclectic, anything-goes journey. In 2026, Mulqueen launched Outer Heaven Records, a vinyl-only record label distributed through Parisian shop Yoyaku. Serving as executive producer and A&R, he launched Its first release, a 3-track EP from Outer Heaven favorites Red Axes. Leg Room have individually been playing records in their own homes and private parties for years. The two have a wide range of tastes and neither like being boxed into one category. The pandemic forced them into a situation where they were living together where they realized their collections provide a nice balance to each other. Leg Room was born out of a passion for creating space for friends to dance since that's what Leg Room are, friends. In the second half of 2023 they were given a residency at Outer Heaven in Manhattan, NY and moved the party outside of private spaces and into the club.
