The story behind NTO started with a match made in heaven, a kid from the South of France always hooked to his guitar, and electronic and dance music. After going to the Sziget Festival when he was 18, NTO started to hang out regularly at La Villa Rouge, and Bar Live, two legendary clubs in the South of France. At the time, German minimal techno music was booming and Anthony Favier would spend his nights listening to Stephan Bodzin, James Holden, or the very beginnings of Paul Kalkbrenner: "My biggest music crush of all time”. The evocative power of music, strong kicks and the unifying atmosphere of dancefloors: this is the triple focus that will inspire him to create and produce music without going through the usually mandatory DJ phase. The story behind NTO is also about his friendship with Worakls and Joachim Pastor, with whom he created Hungry Music in 2013. Performing together on the Olympia’s stage to the Vieilles Charrues Festival, they learned to master the stage, and seduced a new generation that would follow them faithfully from this moment on. Thanks to his hits "Trauma" and "La clé des champs", which account for several millions of streams on DSPs, NTO's career took off internationally: from The Netherlands, to Germany, to Eastern Europe to Canada... Today, NTO is about to start a new chapter of his career. With deep basses and lysergic harmonies, he filters different layers of his melodies to make them sparkle even more, just as if they emerged from the water after hitting rock bottom. Born in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan, Anahit Vardanyan’s unique productions are informed by her nation’s traditional music, as well as blending influences from techno, electronic and ethnic sounds from across the globe. A remarkable producer, as well as talented selector, she cultivates a spellbinding atmosphere throughout her work, utilising her classical training. With a penchant for emotive melodies, positive musicality and a desire to focus on the brighter elements of techno, Anahit’s mission is to build a diverse global community of music fans, and creators, all connected by the same deep rooted love. Music is Anahit’s calling. She went from playing piano at the age of seven to studying at the Conservatory of Yerevan. After graduating in 2016, she took the bold decision to leave her home nation and head to Hamburg, where she began to truly blossom. Anahit’s earliest experiences with electronic music came through her studies and then in Hamburg’s clubs and bars. This was the first time she felt a deep connection to electronic music, and, in her own words, she fell in love. With her formal training and wide-ranging influences, Anahit’s early productions were of a high enough standard to find a home on an Armenian label run by her friends. From there she released with German labels Jannowitz Records and Alaula, plus Hydrozoa in Los Angeles. Anahit’s relationship with the piano is everything, it’s her channel for expressing the full spectrum of her emotions - she can be joyful and happy or depressed and sad, it all flows freely with the instrument that is so fundamental to her creativity. She is acutely aware of how music impacts the state of mind and wellbeing of those who are listening to it, working to ensure that her productions have a positive influence.
