There is no better feeling than leaving an afters soaked in sweat, ridding yourself of the toxins you put into your body in order to perspire higher. The Philadelphia DJ Sweater is all to familiar with this sense of 8 am bliss hence his name (although he does have a great sweater collection). Formerly known as the house DJ Lucas Lee, Sweater found that sub 130 bpm's did not achieve the level of forehead baptism he was after and decided it was time to crank it up a notch. Playing and producing tracks influenced by electro, breaks, broken beat, Baltimore club, and the Insanity workout DVD's his sets feel like a workout. Complete with a warmup stretch, buildups, sprints, quick breathers, more sprints, and the come down stretch, all are welcome to his dancefloor sweat sessions.Their RA profile lists Pearled Records.Recently at H0L0, Earthly Delights, Apollo Studio · often with Ika, Usherenko, Max Sprauer, none of them here that night

DJing since 2011, New York native John Raffaele has been bringing life to dancefloors in the US and abroad on countless occasions. His tireless work and commitment to nightlife and music culture with his projects Subsurface (party) & Impressions Philly (record store) could be described as an unquenchable thirst for more. After relocating to Philadelphia in 2016, John wasted no time working dancefloors across the city for underground local crews. After 2 years in the Philadelphia circuit, John teamed up with his partner and one of his closest friends, Keen in December 2017 to launch the now accredited warehouse party series- Subsurface, to channel their vision into their own experience to share with others in Philadelphia. Since then they have wasted no time reshaping the mold of underground parties in Philadelphia hosting artists such as Anthony Parasole, Omar S, John Dimas, Steve O’Sullivan, and more recently Hamish & Toby, Brawther, Analog Soul, Christian AB and more with no signs of slowing down. In August of 2020, during the pandemic John had been digging for records at such a frequent rate, and being out of gigs with little income- he spawned Impressions Philadelphia, an online/ pop-up record store, filling a void for dance music record shopping in Philly. Since then, the shop has made a mark on local DJ’s and collectors in the city. As a producer, John has been working behind the scenes tirelessly at developing his sound. After many months/years at work, John will be part of the next forthcoming release on Tbilisi based label- Small Moves alongside collaborators Sweater and Bobby Banks under their alias “Post Play”. Expect that to drop fall 2021.Recently at Moondog Hifi, Signal, Apollo Studio · often with Keen, Daniel Dutts, Juana, none of them here that night
