the whole biography
Impassioned to inject intellectual material into the electronic music scene, OHM HOURANI continues to challenge his understanding of sound. Alongside his innovative studio work, the Montreal-based artist embraces the intricate relationship between technology and electronic music. His record label ANOMA is dedicated to the distribution of minimalistic, distinctive sounds kissed with a jazzy flair. Funded by the Canada Council of Arts and released in 2019, debut full-length album Jazz of the Machine travels long a didactic path carved by modular synthesizers and drum machines, navigated in the company of carefully hand-picked musicians and vocalists. Hourani's playful enthusiasm manifests itself in his live sets and DJ sets that have piqued the curiosity of progressive-minded music enthusiasts and critics alike. His compositions showcase an infusion of organic sounds and live recordings with intricate sound engineering. Collective works have been showcased live locally at his beloved MUTEK Montreal Festival, while also travelled abroad as feature performances at the Japanese edition of Montreux Jazz Festival. His DJ sets have resonated warmly with club audiences at esteemed institutions such as Berlin's Club Der Visionaere, on board floating Parisian club Concrete, or at one of New York's renowned afterparties. It's an amorous and insightfully curious approach to creating sound. You might even call it anomalistic.Their RA profile lists Cynosure Recordings, Kommunikation Records, Ultrastretch, MICROZOO and 6 more.Recently at LoHi, H0L0, Outer Heaven · often with Gui Machado, Zayd, Kiyoshi, none of them here that night

Armii1n, born in Tehran and now based in New York City, quickly made his mark on Asia’s underground scene in his early 20s. While based in Kuala Lumpur, he held residencies at Kyo Club, Elysium, and The Iron Fairies, performing across Bali and Thailand. As a Sweatbox label resident, he released his debut EP, featuring a standout remix by The Mekanism. After moving to Miami for his Master’s, he secured a residency at Do Not Sit on the Furniture and worked with T Bag Records, also representing artists as an agent before shifting his full focus to DJing and event curation. Now based in New York City, Armii1n is actively DJing and running his own event series, Pregame. He performs with promoters such as Resolute and Golden Records, and plays at venues including H0L0, Signal, and Outer Heaven, continuing to build his presence within NYC’s underground scene.Minimal on 1 and Tech House on 1. styles on their catalogued releasesTheir RA profile lists Sweatbox Records.Recently at H0L0, Outer Heaven, Apollo Studio · often with Zayd, Auphoria, Kiyoshi, none of them here that night
