Amelia Holt, is one of Brooklyn’s most distinctive, interesting selectors With a unique approach to rhythm, Holt crafts DJ sets which fuse percussive rhythms with electronic beats, transforming any dancefloor into a culture-bending, otherworldly experience. One may hear her play broken beats, deep high octane, fine and elegant dance, alt techno, sharp electro, and delusional krautrock – sometimes all in the same night. Amelia holds a residency at The Lot Radio and has played in the best of NYC’s venues including Good Room, Nowadays & Bossa Nova Civic Club & festivals, Sustain-Release & Dripping. Outside the US, she’s brought her sound to Mexico City, Berlin, Munich, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Madrid and many more. Born and rooted in the NYC underground, Amy is a producer, DJ, and sound engineer shaped by her music composition studies at Berklee College of Music, a background that guides her ever evolving sound. Her music moves between intention and play, drifting through house, minimal, electro, deep, dub techno, and bent shades of jazz. Her artistic vision has been shaped by more than a decade of study, digging, producing, mixing, mastering, and living within the underground culture of New York City. She first stepped into the world of production and mixing records at the age of 15 through an internship at a NYC DJ and music production school, where long afternoons in the studio and trips to Halcyon and A1 Records opened the door to a deeper musical world. Her early mentors introduced her to the discipline behind the craft and helped refine her approach to sound. At the age of 17, she began performing at venues that helped shape Brooklyn’s underground dance music scene, such as TBA Brooklyn and Output. Her technical training later grew at SAE Institute NYC, where she explored recording, mixing, and mastering. She continues to explore the layers of her musical curiosity, shaping them into a sound that remains both intricate and personal. She has appeared alongside artists who inspire her, such as Priku, Sepp, Chklte, Cristian AB, Giammarco Orsini, O.bee, Tomas Station, Sweely, DJ W!LD, Acid Pauli, Guy J, Tinlicker, Liquid Earth, & more. He has released his firts works on digital labels Monique Musique and Rohs Records under the name Stefano Galbiati.In 2010 he opened the only vinyl label "Earth Mothern" with his Friend Andee,and They get some release under the name RK's:Remix For EM01,Ep EM02:Rk's-Save The Earth Ep e EM04-Rk's-Summers Works EP;in 2012 he released his first vinyl under the name JS (EM05:JS-The Dark Side Of The Earth EP with rmx of OCP aka Analogue Cops) distributed by Diamond And Pearls.After he started a new project with Lucretio of Analogue Cops called "Van Basten",with the release on Earth Mothern (EM07),and he has released a new track on "Tape Fresser Vol.1 (EM08).
