As one of the co-founders of Hessle Audio, Ben UFO has been responsible, alongside Pearson Sound and Pangaea, for some of the most varied and ground breaking releases of recent years. Having become immersed in the still emerging dubstep scenes in London and Leeds in 2005, his musical taste was shaped primarily by the DMZ and Sub Dub nights taking place in those cities. However, as tastes have shifted and scenes have fragmented, Ben UFO's approach to the music and to Hessle Audio itself has developed. As BPMs have dropped and influences have broadened, so too has the vision of Ben UFO's DJing. He remains one of the few DJs in the UK to have made an impact without a production career to fall back on, and as such his reputation is solely the result of his skill as a selector and as a mixer. As a result he remains in a position to fully explore sounds both old and new, across the worlds of house and garage, dubstep and grime, and further into the past. This level of commitment to the dance music of the last two decades has led to a collection of records which reflects the position London has long held as a city responsible for the constant development of forward thinking music. This is not to say that his focus is primarily on the sounds of the old school, as Ben UFO is looked to as one of the leading figures supporting up and coming producers. He was the first DJ to play material by producers such as Blawan and Joy Orbison, both now scene figureheads, and his weekly slot on London's leading ex-pirate radio station, RinseFM, is considered to be one of the only places to hear the most exclusive new music by both new and established producers. In addition to well received podcasts in magazines and websites as varied as Resident Advisor, XLR8R, Red Bull Music Academy and Fact Magazine, 2011 was the year that Ben UFO entered the world of commercially released mix CDs. His contribution to the respected RinseFM series was widely praised for its coherence despite the breadth of styles showcased, and he was placed #35 in a Resident Advisor readers’ poll to find the years best DJ. It’s a result which reflects Ben UFO’s ability to successfully present unfamiliar, experimental dance music to a diverse variety of audiences worldwide.Their RA profile lists Hessle Audio.Recently at Camp Kennybrook, Nowadays, 99 Scott Ave · often with Helena Hauff, Shvili, Emsho, none of them here that night

Ma Sha is a New York-based producer and DJ who has been active in the scene since 2017 when she co-founded event series - now a NYC staple - Kindergarten. Since then, she established a radio show which alongside the local Kindergarten crew, holds a monthly residency on The Lot Radio, as well as a record label that has won “Best Breakthrough Label” at the 2022 DJ Mag North America Awards. Focusing on cosmic club workouts with wigged-out rhythmic structures, the label “has become an essential outpost for hard-to-define, easy-to-dance-to club music in just two short years” [DJ Mag]; presenting “twisty, rowdy and unpredictable club music rooted in techno from both sides of the Atlantic” [Resident Advisor]. Apart from running Kindergarten Records, Ma Sha is currently focusing on her solo productions to present her take on experimental high-voltage dance music with a debut release coming out soon. However, Ma Sha is not a novice within the realm of production; as she has been active as half of the band Sha Ru who have been on the radar since their debut EP on Sorry Records in 2019, followed by releases on Infinite Machine, Pressure Dome, Progressive Future, Shubzin, Inveterate and of course, Kindergarten Records. Besides running the label, producing and performing domestically and internationally, Ma Sha is also a co-founder of Hone.Social, a free DJing workshop initiative providing a place to learn and practice within a casual and supportive environment.Their RA profile lists Rhythm Section International, Nervous Horizon, Steel City Dance Discs and Kindergarten Records.Recently at Dead Letter No. 9, Camp Kennybrook, Under the K Bridge · often with Sobolik, Verraco, Ayesha, none of them here that night

Sissies of Mercy is the back-to-back collaboration between longtime best-friends sam & austen. Born out of their love for dancing together, their sound as a duo balances playful nostalgia and raunchy darkness to command a sweaty dancefloor. Weaving together diva-fueled house, sparkly 80's pop, nasty acid, and cheeky electro, Sissies' sets create shared moments of freedom and transcendent joy fueled by love and light.Recently at Good Room, House of Yes, Gabriela · often with Eli Escobar, Volvox, Andi, none of them here that night

"It's D's World, we're just living in it" - Guy reading my iPhone notes on the M Train Longtime dancefloor staple Dan Creahan has been a quiet but vital energy in New York's thriving late-night scene, promoting and running door as energetically as he throws down on the floor. As a producer, he's often sought to explore the range around the center of the floor, working behind a number of pen names that have settled in recent years around around Alien D, a coy reworking of his first name, and the most direct outlet for his productions. Having previously released tapes with Mind Dynamics, a driving, frenetic project that pushed noise sensibilities and an improv-first focus on dance music stylings, Creahan worked through a range of concepts and monikers before releasing his first record as Alien D in 2018. Building sonic worlds around shared concepts and studio workflows, he rarely sits in one place for too long, exploring ever-shifting sonic palettes that have branched out from his initial formula of loose break tracks, tinged with elements of house and dub and into a range of sources, from spaced-out B12 tributes to tracks nodding towards the heyday of West Coast rave and downtempo. Bringing the same energy he's honed as a label head and promoter to his studio practice, the horizon looks bright for this Alien, gleaming out into the depths of space, where new worlds await <3House on 9, Techno on 9, Downtempo on 6 and Experimental on 4. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Kulture Galerie (2), Honey Trap (1) and Theory Therapy (1); their RA profile also lists Sweat Equity NYC and Twin System. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Camp Kennybrook, Good Room, Bar Laika · often with No Sir, Andrew Devlin, Yibing, none of them here that night
