Ikonika is one of the most vital voices in UK electronic music. Emerging from the fertile grounds of London’s post-dubstep scene, they have carved out a singular space over two decades of boundary-pushing production and DJing. A long-time affiliate of the influential Hyperdub label, they’ve also released music on Night Slugs, Planet Mu, and Don’t Be Afraid (DBA). Their work spans grime, R&B, UK funky, techno, and experimental club sounds—always marked by a signature sense of melody, rhythm, and emotional depth. Debuting in 2008 with the acclaimed single “Please” on Hyperdub, Ikonika quickly became a leading figure in the new wave of bass music innovators. Their debut album Contact, Love, Want, Have (2010) blended video game synths, garage rhythms, and glitchy textures into something wholly new, earning praise from critics and club-goers alike. Follow-up records like Aerotropolis (2013) and Distractions (2017) pushed even further into genre fusion, embracing pop, house, techno, R&B, and experimental electronics. As a DJ, Ikonika is known for their eclectic sets and fearless transitions from industrial-edged club tracks to shimmering synth jams appearing at major festivals and underground venues worldwide. Beyond their solo work, Ikonika is a skilled collaborator and remixer, having worked with artists including Jessy Lanza, 45DiBoss, and Karen Nyame KG, and remixed the likes of Ewan McVicar, Jamilah Barry, Or:la (feat. Eliza Rose), and Steve Spacek. In recent years, Ikonika has continued to evolve, releasing deeply personal and stylistically adventurous EPs that incorporate their own vocals and explore everything from amapiano to techno. Bored Lord is the alias of Oakland-based DJ and producer Daria Lourd, a musician in the Bay Area underground known for her sets and performances that weave together house, club, breakbeat, and beyond. A prolific producer, her tracks reflects a deep reverence for dance music culture, reimagined through a distinctly queer lens, and DIY background. While under her given name, her music veers towards downtempo dub-influnced hardware songs. With her wife, she is part of the duo Darlynn. She has released a large, mostly self-released, discography since 2012. She is a member of No Bias, a resident at Bar Part Time, and an employee at Cone Shape Top. Concrete Husband is a NYC-based producer, DJ, composer, and flutist whose work bridges hypnotic techno, contemporary composition, and surrealist sound design. His forward-thinking dance records Piel and Pelvic Resonance, released on White Owl Records, received critical acclaim, with Document Journal describing his music as “redefining avant-garde composition.” Educated at New England Conservatory, he draws on a deep knowledge of musical history to create emotionally charged sonic narratives that blur the line between the sensual and the uncanny. His DJ sets move through hypnotic grooves and psychological tension. A fixture of the Brooklyn techno scene, he has been seen countless times at BASEMENT, Paragon, and Knockdown Center, as well as at WIRE Festival and Merge. He is a resident of the Mexico City collective Pervert. As a composer and flutist, he merges virtuosic performance with experimental approaches to sound. Integrating live flute into his work, he has developed a singular performance language that led Eartheater to invite him to open her 2024 international tour, alongside a headline debut at Silent Green. His compositions have been presented at Amant, MoMA PS1, Museum of Modern Art, MUNCH, and Palazzo Reale. He has also scored Dion Lee’s Shanghai Fashion Week presentation and contributed flute compositions to the A24 film Beau Is Afraid.
