A devotee of the late-night-into-early-morning-into-late-afternoon party, Kristen gravitates toward genre-expansive DJs who take their dancers on long, world-bending journeys through all shades of music (not just electronic). Outside of DJing, Kristen is deeply immersed in NYC’s live music scene, a passion that heavily informs her sets. While her selections are steeped in traditional and modern jazz influences, she loves to weave in elements of commercial/hyperpop, future garage, funk, and classic house—building her sets more around “vibes” than around certain genres. If she’s not behind the decks, she will 100% be dancing. This was, in part, the inspiration behind co-founding Dancing in Socks with Szobi—a bi-monthly party series and online community built around getting back building communities through dancefloors.Recently at Earthly Delights, KEYBAR, Delirium · often with DJ girlcrush, Ah Dek, Szobi, none of them here that night

A SELF-TAUGHT DJ WITH +8 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, SAUCI SONI HAS MADE HER MARK ACROSS THE GLOBE, FROM A CLUB RESIDENCY IN AFGHANISTAN, TO SPINNING REGULARLY IN NYC. SHE’S ALSO THE PROUD RESIDENT DJ FOR THE UNITED NATIONS. BORN AND RAISED IN GUYANA, SAUCI SONI’S ’ MUSICAL ROOTS RUN DEEP. RAISED BY A GUITARIST AND SINGER, SHE GREW UP IN A HOUSE FULL OF RHYTHM AND SOUL. FROM SINGING IN HER SCHOOL CHOIR TO PLAYING THE FLUTE AND PIANO, SONI’S LOVE FOR MUSIC WAS PLANTED EARLY. WHETHER IT'S WEDDINGS, CLUBS, OR RADIO, SONI BRINGS A SULTRY & INFECTIOUS ENERGY TO EVERY SET. HER STYLE IS JUST AS ECLECTIC AS HER STORY. EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED, FROM AMAPIANO TO WEST AFRICAN BEATS, DISCO, HIP HOP AND R&B, OPEN FORMAT, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. HER SETS ARE A REFLECTION OF HER LIFE: VIBRANT, BOUNDARILESS, AND DEEPLY ALIVE. A STAGE 4 CANCER SURVIVOR, SONI HAS TURNED HER DIAGNOSIS INTO A POWERFUL CALL TO LIVE FULLY & DO WHAT SHE LOVES — SHARING MUSIC THAT MOVES THE BODY AND SOUL. ☀️Recently at Rash, LoHi, Althea's Rooftop · often with MISS VEE, MAXWELL HöUSE, FTZGRLD, none of them here that night
