“Cora moves with astral intuition—alchemizing her indie acting roots into cinematic sets that radiate with celestial energy, and sear with Sichuan spice.”

Cora moves with astral intuition—alchemizing her indie acting roots into cinematic sets that radiate with celestial energy, and sear with Sichuan spice. Driven by rolling drums, percussive passages, punchy vocals and transcendent breakdowns, the Chengdu-born DJ weaves between old school trance, progressive house and techno grooves—superimposing dramatic subplots and emotional undertows onto rhythmic narratives, attuned to the kinetic desires of the dancefloor. From her hometown residency at .TAG, Chengdu, to her newfound base in Berlin, Cora's path has been one of perpetual transformation, evolving into an accomplished DJ and producer amid an awakened and accelerating scene. Her debut release, ‘Mountain High’, marked a propulsive blend of progressive trance and her own take on traditional mountain singing, drawing on seven years of classical Italian operatic training. Her latest release, sees a meditative rendition of Buddhist mantra, ‘The Heart Sutra’. Across each of her personal productions, Cora’s confident and ethereal vocal experimentation makes every track distinctly her own. Through her performance, productions, and party series 6G+, Cora blends primal rhythm with otherworldly experience, continuing to embrace a more uplifting and sensual incarnation of her ever-mystical sound——where trance meets transcendence, and fantasy meets physical release.Their RA profile lists Proxima.Recently at House of Yes, BASEMENT, Nowadays · often with Kim Ann Foxman, ROBUS, Carly Zeng, none of them here that night

“Ryan started his ongoing love affair with dancing and dance clubs at a young age.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Ryan started his ongoing love affair with dancing and dance clubs at a young age. But it wasn’t until moving to New York in 2006 that he took his love of the music in the direction of DJing and promoting. Noting that many of the city’s gay dance clubs were playing surprisingly homogenous music, Ryan was inspired to push that envelope. Combining forces with DJ Ron Like Hell, Ryan started DJing at “Rocket,” a party night they collaborated on at Hose in the East Village that became popular for its distinctive mix of classic and forward-thinking house and disco. Later he co-conceived and DJ’d the Soffitta70 parties at the Public Assembly Loft in Williamsburg, combining house and techno music with psychedelic art, and drawing a vibrant and eclectic young dance crowd. The sound Ryan and Ron created for these parties caught the attention of Catz ‘n Dogz, and Electronic Music Bears, and Honey Soundsystem leading to the duo's tailoring exclusive podcasts for all of them. Ryan’s penchant for soulful rhythms with a decidedly forward edge soon brought him DJ gigs in San Francisco (with Honey Soundsystem), DC at U Street Music Hall, in London (Dalston Superstore with the legendary Optimo and Vogue Fabrics with Severino, and Club Butt w/ Butt Magazine and Boris of Berghain), and in Berlin (Cocktail D’amore) as well as one of New York’s most popular dance clubs and parties, from the main floor of the legendary Saint At Large Black Party to Santos Party House and nights such as the legendary Bunker, the cutting-edge techno night in Brooklyn. As a DJ, Ryan continues pushing the dance music envelope with sweat-inducing rhythms at his latest ventures, “Wrecked,” at National Underground in New York. He’s also expanding his creative parameters as one of the founding partners of Discaire, a queer-run record label based out of NYC, San Francisco and London and booking some of the worlds most sought after underground DJ’s. And of course he keeps pushing the hip-moving musical parameters of New York’s dance clubs!Their RA profile lists Central Dogma Records.Recently at BASEMENT, Knockdown Center · often with Day Thief, T.Wan, Sterling Juan Diaz, none of them here that night
