Her name may derive from the Turkish word for ‘different’, but its energy translates into every aspect of BASHKKA’s self-expression. From slaying the dancefloor with sensually acerbic sets to her ardent advocation of the cultural, political and de-colonial advancement of electronic music, BASHKKA is breathing fresh air into the scene with everything she sets her mind to. Irreversibly shaped by a decade living in New York and the Black & Brown trans women who inspired her truest incarnation, BASHKKA brings the flavour and authenticity of The Big Apple’s Ballroom scene to every party she plays. From her hometown residency at Munich’s Blitz Club to Berghain’s Panorama Bar, where she’s quickly become a regular, her sets channel an intoxicating energy that’s self-professedly “CUNT!” And on the other side of the booth, BASHKKA’s unapologetic integrity is echoed in her unwavering activism and commitment to her community. Through her vocal politics and dedication to SWANA and queer representation in the scene, BASHKKA is reimagining the counter-cultural potential of electronic music’s origins for the contemporary club sphere. Her debut EP, forthcoming in 2023, will see BASHKKA’s brazen attitude blended with a highly underrated technical prowess.Their RA profile lists UMAY and Spotlight Records.Recently at Green Room NYC, BASEMENT, Camp Kennybrook · often with Berghain, Fadi Mohem, Gabrielle Kwarteng, none of them here that night

Jacob Meehan is a Chicago-raised, Berlin-based DJ, producer, and cultural curator whose sound blends the soulful groove of American house with the untamed edge of Berlin. Rooted in Chicago’s legacy, from WLUW 88.7FM to Gramaphone Records to Smart Bar, his style channels the lessons of Derrick Carter, Frankie Knuckles, and Michael Serafini into playful sets that move between house, techno, disco, and ambient. Since relocating to Berlin in 2016, Meehan has become a vital figure in the city’s queer nightlife as co-curator of Buttons and WHOLE Festival, shaping spaces where curiosity and community collide. Alongside the dance floor, he explores ambient music as a resident at KWIA listening bar and through yoga nidra sessions that expand his relationship with sound into the wellness realm. Meehan also curates the ambient stage at WHOLE. His productions resonate eclectic energy: “Hier” (Major Records) introduced his voice as a producer, while “Old Reliable” — features archival gay porn audio from Chicago’s Bijou Theater — landed on a Nervous Records compilation curated by The Carry Nation. Recent studio work includes a collaboration with NYC’s Physical Therapy, with more releases around the corner. This autumn and winter, Meehan is deep in the studio, working on a wave of new music set to define his next chapter. Jacob has performed worldwide at clubs and festivals such as Panorama Bar (Berlin), Tresor (Berlin), Cocktail d’Amore (Berlin), Adonis (London), Basement (NYC), The Bunker (NYC), Smart Bar (Chicago), Honcho Campout (USA), Listen Festival (Brussels), Contact (Tokyo), Savage (Hanoi), Equation Festival (Vietnam) and Honey Soundsystem (SF).Their RA profile lists Nervous Records, Twirl, Major Records and Trax Only.Recently at H0L0, BASEMENT, Gabriela · often with Juliana Huxtable, CEM, Nita Aviance, none of them here that night

Born and raised in Queens, a city dweller and a club kid, Kilopatrah has an innate and superlative gift for transferring energy from the booth to the dance floor—through exciting house, techno, and jungle, and moments that both harken to Sound Factory–era glory days and bring you to sweaty BPMs of the future. Their sets are palpably personal: The dance floor has always been a powerful platform for expression for Kilo, once as a freeing and connecting space for a quiet house dancer and now as one for moving others like them. When Kilo gets going, you’ll lose sense of the kick drum versus the beat of your own body against the floor. That’s a gift from them to you, and your percussion is a gift back to them. Kilo brings their energetic sass to a monthly Lot Radio residency and to parties with impressive lineups, playing alongside Todd Terry home in New York, at the legendary Movement weekend Club Toilet in Detroit, and for Boiler Room. Their mixes, for series such as Coloring Lessons, Honcho, and Juanita’s, and for spots on Rinse and Refuge, also capture the club at its most euphoric. You’ll step a little harder with Kilopatrah Jones. Words by Sacha MadadianRecently at Outer Heaven, Signal, Nublu 151 · often with Mike Servito, Dee Diggs, Annie Lew, none of them here that night

Will Jack is a PNW-born, Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, and promoter whose work has made a lasting impact on queer and underground dance floors on both coasts. First emerging from Portland, OR as the figurehead behind the influential Switch Dance Party. Will Jack played a role in elevating a wave of Portland's transgressive queer performance spaces through an emphasis on intentional curation, community, and ritual. Switch has hosted a wide range of forward-thinking artists cementing its reputation as a vital cultural moment and in recent years has seen the likes of artists such as Kevin Aviance, Vander Von Odd, Volvox, Aurora Halal, Sharlese, SPRKLBB, Ariel Zetina and more. After relocating to New York City with a singular focus on nightlife, Will Jack became deeply embedded in Brooklyn’s DIY ecosystem. Working behind the scenes with the UNTER collective as a producer honed his attention to detail and respect for dance floor dynamics, while countless warehouse and club nights refined his sensibility as a selector. He now co-runs the popular DIY afters series TOSSD alongside Giovannii, another influential figure out of Portland, where he serves as both resident and a creative production force. With residency at both TOSSD and Brooklyn’s ANIMAL, Will Jack stretches across a wide range of selections and approaches DJing as a contextual and narrative-driven practice. His sound centers groove, mystery, and sex appeal—drawing from New York and Chicago House, Detroit Techno, Acid, Electro, and Psychedelic textures—always with a percussive-forward pulse designed to move mind, body, and spirit. Known for extended sets that unfold patiently, his performances balance hedonism with intention, treating raving as ritual. Will Jack has played at spaces such as NYC's Basement/Studio, Seattle's Massive, San Francisco's Power House, and iconic underground parties including Unter, F*ggots Are Women, Mizz Softee, TOSSD and more. A lifelong student of dance music culture and a dedicated contributor to the communities he inhabits, Will Jack continues to be a tastemaker in contemporary queer underground dance music.Recently at Qncc, Paragon, Earthly Delights · often with Giovannii, Sevyn Love, DJ DEADNAME, none of them here that night
