Raised outside of Washington, D.C., this Brooklyn-based DJ blends house music, east coast hip hop, southern classics, and pop for a truly expansive sound. His spellbinding soulful house tracks leave audiences breathless, and weightless. The powerful vocals and hypnotizing beats create an atmosphere where dancing is infectious. People often say “I don’t know what this is, but I love it” during a Gossamer set. Gossamer is constantly exploring and evolving his tastes. Inspired by Lois Lowry’s novel of the same name, Gossamer weaves soundscapes where bad vibes can’t survive. This digital and vinyl dj has a long-lasting love for 60s/70s soul and R&B music that continues to be a major influence in his sound. DJs with similar styles include Peggy Gou, Armand Van Helden, and TSHA. You can catch Gossamer digging for new records, producing his own tracks, and performing around New York.Recently at Rodeo, Rash, Trans-Pecos · often with allducksrock, LITA DA DOLL, YALI, none of them here that night

Drawing from over ten years of training as a classical pianist, BEYBLADE SHAWTY’s expansive music curation and selection practice transfigures the confines of genre, incorporating sounds from across the Black diaspora. Especially inspired by vanguard music descended from jazz, funk, and soul, BEYBLADE SHAWTY's evocative, captivating, high-energy sets invite listeners on sonic journeys across spacetimes. Playfully irreverent lyrics, percussive basslines, breakbeats, and four-on-the-floor rhythms enchant audiences, transporting them to new worlds of free movement and self-expression. At once precisely methodical and deeply intuitive, BEYBLADE SHAWTY’s mixing practice is informed by the diverse musical backdrop that accompanied her upbringing. Subverting category, the DJ utilizes techniques spanning hip-hop, club, techno, bass, global house, and beyond, igniting auditory frequencies that co-create affective trust with her audience. BEYBLADE SHAWTY hosts The Baddie Hour, a NYC party series featuring local talent at some of the city’s most beloved venues. After years of unsuccessful searching, the DJ and her friends dreamt of a safe, fun environment in which they could reliably listen (and dance!) to great music. Since she couldn’t find one, she organized one herself. The artist's monthly Half Moon radio show, BEYBLADE SHAWTY FM, streams the fourth Thursday of every month at 8 PM EST.Recently at Anything, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Mood Ring · often with BABEITSPURR, Virtual Kiss, x0trandon, none of them here that night

Petal Rose is a NY-native, Brooklyn-based DJ and producer just trying to figure their shit out. Born and raised by God-fearing Guyanese immigrants, music was never taken seriously unless it was in the context of the church. For lack of a better phrase, music became their god, and they’ve been a loyal worshiper ever since.Recently at Wonderville, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Rash · often with CMD+JAZMINE, BBYGRL, EEVEE, none of them here that night
