Having cut his teeth over the last decade coming up through Brooklyn’s warehouse scene, NYC-based Auspex has solidified himself as a regular fixture and contributor to its underground techno community, a DJ, producer, label boss and tireless organizer very much at home in the city's vibrant queer nightlife scene. Having made regular appearances over the years at such legendary parties like The Bunker, Merge and Unter, he soon found himself at the helm of the transcendent party ALTÆR when Basement emerged onto the club-scape. Now six years running, ALTÆR has become known for its immersive and music-driven line-ups, pulling the together some of the world’s best international techno and house talents. He’s also made frequent appearances in Berlin at venues like RSO , Griessmuehle and most recently Berghain, as well as appearances at underground functions like Pornceptual, Gegen and STAUB. Most recently, he launched his own techno imprint Templum to showcase his production work and some of the hottest and most prolific producers of hypnotic and raw techno working in the industry today. With a healthy and robust release calendar already in the pipeline, Templum is poised to become a major source of dance floor fire power in the months and years ahead. Musically, Auspex conjures techno as a space of collective hypnosis—with sets that move with fluid precision and driving percussion through intergalactic expanses, leading dancers through spiraling grooves and sensory depth, shaping an experience that’s equal parts body ritual and psychedelic voyage. As a classically-trained multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, his compositions are in infused with narrative tension and a rambunctious mischief, driving dance floors to bedlam and then back again.

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Arthur Robert, born and raised in Vienna, Austria, and of Romanian heritage - an intricate blend that will later inspire and influence his musical aspirations. A tender memory from his formative years is rooted in embracing a colossal speaker, absorbing the vibrations of bass that would shape his affinity for sound. At a youthful sixteen, Arthur embarked on an autonomous journey, teaching himself the craft of DJing drum and bass music with the analogue allure of vinyl records, marking the inception of his electronic music odyssey. Arthur's trajectory led him to Amsterdam in his early twenties, a city that beckoned him with the allure of techno music. An encounter with Berlin's Berghain venue would be a defining moment, solidifying his dedication to the sonic landscapes he would continue to shape. Within the confines of his studio, Arthur diligently refines his craft, continuously fine-tuning his live sets and presenting his published tracks in their purest form—a singular, unedited take capturing the essence of his vision. A mélange of evocative descriptors encapsulates Arthur's auditory signature: live electronics, a puristic approach, groove-driven foundations inspired by Detroit's legacy, and subtle traces of jungle and breaks influences. This amalgamation results in a sonic tapestry uniquely his own, marked by an ongoing artistic evolution. Arthur's ventures extend beyond the realm of techno, occasionally venturing into crafting soundtracks that resonate harmoniously with cinematic narratives. An eagerly awaited film score, slated for release in late 2019 or early 2020, marks the culmination of this diversification. Beyond his artistic pursuits, Arthur shares his insight through teaching sound design and music production, viewing the role of educator as paramount in his perpetual pursuit of excellence. As a seasoned electronic musician, Arthur Robert commands stages globally, his live performances crafted through a symphony of synthesizers and samplers. His music transcends boundaries, engaging audiences with a testament to the timeless potency of creativity.

“Natia Chichinadze, AKA Creams, makes music full of traps.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Natia Chichinadze, AKA Creams, makes music full of traps. Each song a Pandora’s Box with paradoxical lyrics and melodies born from myths, dreams and literary ideas; sensory-stimulating music that sounds like “cotton candy,” but with far deeper heart notes. Emerging from Georgia, a small country fuelled by tension on the borders of Europe and Asia, Creams speaks 4 different languages and has a powerful sense of her own abilities. Her creativity comes from instinct, her gut “never fails,” and she insists that the circumstances of her generation prepared her for battle. Driving every aspect of the songwriting process is paramount to Creams’ creative output. She writes, plays and produces all of the records from concept to master, and spends her spare hours hacking plugins and tirelessly hustling to make these records come to life. Making music for Creams is therapy, an emotional outlet when the world reveals its chaotic and complex nature.

“Raised far from the gravitational pull of dance music hubs, Dallas-born Decoder developed his craft outside traditional DJ circuits, shaping a singular voice defined by independence that remains central to his sound today.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Raised far from the gravitational pull of dance music hubs, Dallas-born Decoder developed his craft outside traditional DJ circuits, shaping a singular voice defined by independence that remains central to his sound today. First opening Fruity Loops at the age of ten, Decoder's relationship with electronic music began free from expectation or institutional pressure. His early productions were guided as much by video game soundtracks, synth-pop and rhythm as by techno itself, resulting in music that is light and inquisitive. That playfulness has endured. Over time, his productions have evolved, with a distinctive sci-fi-feeling that's grounded in the techno's founding principles. Drum-led, full-bodied and often carrying a quiet melancholia, his discography draws a clear lineage from Detroit techno's futurist restraint and experimental traditions, all the while still resisting easy categorisation. Influences range from the microtonal explorations of Aleksi Perälä to the hypnotic patience associated with Perlon-era minimalism and Ricardo Villalobos, all filtered through an instinctive sense of play. Early support from Richie Hawtin and Jeff Mills affirmed his commitment to this direction, recognition many artists work years to achieve. In the DJ booth, Decoder treats performance as a direct extension of the studio. Sets are often built largely from unreleased material, functioning closer to live testing grounds than traditional DJ performances—ideas are trialled, stripped back and reshaped in real time with close attention to the room. After formative experiences at warehouse parties and renegade events across Texas, he began touring internationally while still in his teens, logging sets at the likes of De School, FOLD and Watergate. 2025 marked a significant turning point, with an acclaimed set at Waking Life and his debut at Berghain. Alongside releasing on established labels, Decoder runs two imprints: Codec, a community-focused platform for collaborative projects, and TOCA, a more purist, physical-only label emphasising longevity and restraint. His forthcoming album Prakasa, released on Planet X, represents several years of studio development and reflects his continued interest in cohesion across time, genre and form. Now operating internationally, Decoder represents a measured reinvention of techno, one that looks forward without severing ties to the past. Retaining the independence forged in Dallas warehouses and DIY parties, he remains an artist shaped not by trends, but by curiosity, patience and a disciplined belief in the power of simplicity.

“His roots are in between dust of sand and waves of salt water.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
His roots are in between dust of sand and waves of salt water. Ignez grew up near the coast of The Netherlands where hypnotizing waves and infinitive dunes shaped his sound. He fled the conservative world by sketching his own reality with these elements of nature. This became inextricably linked within his consciousness and reflects back into his music today, bringing a tight yet indefinable techno sound. He has shaped his own path through his imprint, Somov Records, where he unveiled his distinctive sound and artistic vision for the first time. In addition to his own imprint, he has made an indelible impact on influential labels such as Token and SK_eleven, enchanting audiences worldwide with mesmerizing releases. Notably, Ignez has collaborated with Rødhåd. Together, they have created two EPs that showcase their unique musical synergy. In his DJ sets, Ignez transports the audience into a mesmerizing sonic journey, captivating their senses and lifting the dancefloor to a higher state of being and a collective oceanic feeling. His driving, hypnotic, and minimalistic approach pulls listeners into a magnetic trance, where the pulsating rhythms and ethereal melodies create an immersive sonic experience. His residency at the esteemed underground Eerste Communie has been the cornerstone of his development as a DJ, fostering experience that has grown with him from a young age. From intimate club settings to renowned festivals, his sets evoke a transformative experience, inviting listeners to embark on a sonic odyssey and dive into the depths of his sonic universe.

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Juana has enticed crowds all over the world at venues such as Berghain, LuxFrágil, Fabric, Smartbar, Basement, Nowadays, and countless festivals and underground warehouse gigs. She originally hails from the city of Chicago where she cultivated her love for the underground at clubs like Smartbar and The Generator and parties such as Soul in the Hole and Boom Boom Room. She began DJing in roughly 2001 and moved to DC in 2003 where she began hosting weekly live internet radio shows on HandzOnRadio (Baltimore) and Cyberjamz (Tampa) and playing parties in the DC scene, upping her skills alongside her mentor and legendary DJ Sam “the Man” Burns, and at clubs including Red and the DC Sanctuary. Juana started obsessively collecting disco and early house records in the late 90s and eventually developed an undying penchant for straight-ahead techno and deeper, darker shades of first and second-wave Chicago dance music. In the 2010s, Juana made her mark in DC as one of only a handful of techno DJs and a resident of the legendary rave, Sequence, and started regularly touring North and South America and EU. In the 2020s, Juana picked up major momentum, becoming a resident of the renowned rave Unter and making frequent appearances at Basement, Nowadays, and Paragon. She has been a founding member of the DC QT BIPOC collective NOXEEMA JACKSON since 2021, and in 2026, joined the MERGE collective. As a producer, her most recent EP “We Are Everything We Think We're Not” was released in March 2024, and she has also appeared recently on releases from the No Mercy, World Building, and Perimeter Junk labels. She is currently working on more releases, probably until she croaks.

“Her stratiform style of composition, melding self-recorded layers of her instrument with electronic manipulation and experimental production, explores themes of transformation and the infinite possibilities within queerness.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Her stratiform style of composition, melding self-recorded layers of her instrument with electronic manipulation and experimental production, explores themes of transformation and the infinite possibilities within queerness. Taking on new life onstage, MIZU’s work interrogates and challenges the boundaries between concert, theater, and performance art through electrifying and cathartic stagings. Forest Scenes, MIZU’s latest full-length, is an acknowledgment of the mystery of transcendent experiences and the thrills of self-discovery. The record charts multitudinous connections, inspired in equal parts by the vast urbanity of São Paulo, where MIZU composed the record, the queer spaces and dancefloors of New York City, and in the more abstract place of a self in transition. Forest Scenes deftly interweaves the organic and the synthetic, its wide range of sonic densities a reflection of its diverse origins. The album received critical praise and attention from Pitchfork, NOWNESS Asia, Bandcamp Daily, PopMatters, and I Care If You Listen, amongst others. MIZU’S debut album Distant Intervals, released in Spring 2023, distills her musical memories as a classically-trained performer and weaves classical motifs with experimental sound design and open-ended arrangements. The album landed in the Top 10 of the Billboard Classical Crossover charts, and received critical praise and attention from platforms such as Bandcamp Daily, New Sounds, Stereogum, I Care If You Listen, Foxy Digitalis, and Them. A fervent collaborator, MIZU has worked across genre and medium with movement artists such as Lili (Luyan Li), Kennie Zhou, and Antonius-Tín Bui, directors George Miller, Xiao Han, and Dan Silver, visual artists Kevin Peter He and Alexander Baumann, and costume designer MEGHUN. She has performed extensively with guitarist and electronic producer Rachika Nayar, collaborated with techno producer and flutist Concrete Husband, and was featured on the recent album Spike Field by singer-songwriter Maria BC. MIZU has lent her talents to scoring numerous media works, films, and live performances. Most recently she scored 4 | 2 | 3, a full-length production by choreographer duo Baye & Asa, which premiered at New York’s Baryshnikov Arts Center in March 2024. The score received critical praise from The New York Times. MIZU’s performance highlights include hometown shows in New York - opening for Tim Hecker at Pioneer Works, opening for Geotic at Public Records, and a performance at The Noguchi Museum. Her concert appearances have taken her to Tokyo, Japan and on a cross-country tour to Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, and Washington DC. Most recently, MIZU performed at Rewire 2024 in The Hague, Netherlands, and completed another US headlining tour.

Spanish DJ and producer, Ne/Re/A, a fixture of Brooklyn's teeming techno ecosystem for more than 10 years, has a distinctly energetic approach to the genre - relentless groove and unapologetically timeless. In 2021, Ne/Re/A was named resident DJ of the Brooklyn-based queer party, MERGE, which has served as a musical home and has allowed her to explore the depths of her sonic palette alongside a sophisticated rolodex of the genre's legends. She has played alongside DVS1, Boris, Phase Fatale, Wata Igarashi, Takaaki Itoh and Ancient Methods (to name a few). She cut her teeth as the founder and resident DJ of Distrikt1, the monthly weeknight party at Brooklyn's historic Bossa Nova Civic Club. She's played reputable parties in New York - Unter, Wrecked, Bound and many nights at the city's premiere institutions in BASEMENT, Nowadays, and Paragon. She's played at Berlin's Tresor, Pornceptual, Gegen and at the iconic queer pilgrimage, Whole Festival, BULTO and Video Club in Colombia and Brutal in Mexico City. Her collaborative project, Name Names, with DC-based DJ and producer Juana explores the darker shades of her repertoire, where driving propulsive techno are at the forefront. In 2025, her prowess grows, Ne/Re/A makes her debut in Asia at Taiwan's highly-regarded Organik Festival and Seoul's Volnost, plays notable parties in New York like Wire Festival, Berlin and South America, and continues her residency with MERGE. As a producer Ne/Re/A sharply blends industrial and EBM with melodic techno into her own concoction - a heady assemblage of punch and drive. In 2025 she just released a collaborative track with Clarisa Kimskii in Phase Fatale's BITE record label. In 2024 she released two new tracks for Maison Fauna “In the Dark” and Infra “Piercing the veil”. Indeed, the capacity to dip in between deeper realms of sound and rhythmic exploration aids the artists preference towards longer sets. Before discovering the world of electronic music, Wise came from a background of drum and percussion which was guided by his Iranian father, a former professional drummer. This influence plays a key part in shaping the foundation of techno that he crafts. Subsequently, exposure to Europe’s dancefloors further triggered his passion, allowing him to understand the importance of the interaction between the physicality of sound on the human body. Fast-forward to 2024, this notion gave birth to his label ‘Moving Pressure’. Conceptually, as the title already hints at, the imprint focuses on the capacity of sound to guide movement and emotion, to weave into the fabric of our physical being. Concretely, the first release features a 4 tracker by Wise himself and will proceed by showcasing his sonic vision through self and external releases. The artist’s 'quality over quantity’ mindset has seen him become a mainstay on influential labels such as Mote Evolver and his pure but passionate approach to music has given him the honour of gracing institutions such as Berghain and Bassiani and earned him a residency at the esteemed underground Eerste Communie parties hailing from The Netherlands. the whole biography
As both a creative and model, Arewà has become a vital voice at the intersection of trans identity, Black aesthetics, and futurist performance. On her Archive EP (2026) Arewà weaves together ambient soul, experimental R&B, and new-wave gospel into a Black trans folk-sound all her own, crafting an emotional cartography of ancestry and becoming. The EP includes previously released songs “Fluid,” “I’ll Wait,” and “Crystal,” and moves through a dreamlike arrangement of analog synths, layered harmonies, and ambient percussion, centering Arewà’s hypnotic voice as both witness and instrument. “I wanted the project to serve as a record of everything I’ve been through as an artist, a performer, and person – not as an act of nostalgia, but as proof,” Arewà says. “It’s about making peace with the versions of myself that never got to speak, and hold up my own experiences as a mirror for the listener.” “The project came from a need to preserve what I couldn’t find anywhere else: my own joy, my own contradictions, my own archive,” says Arewà. “It’s a living document, and it’s still being written.” Arewà’s musical work arrives amid a wave of international recognition across art, fashion, and performance. Many fans first got to know Arewà on the groundbreaking eighth season of MTV’s Are You the One in 2019. In 2024, she was immortalized in a celebrated portrait by artist Amy Sherald titled “Trans Forming Liberty” as part of her “American Sublime” exhibition, which debuted at SF MoMA and traveled to New York’s Whitney Museum and the Baltimore Museum of Art. Arewà’s portrait was featured on the cover of The New Yorker in summer 2025 after it faced potential censorship in a planned exhibition at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C.. In the fall of 2025, Arewà was featured in the cast of the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production Prince F*****, continuing to explore themes of queer embodiment and liberation on stage. She also appears in Geena Rocero’s short film Dolls (2025), executive produced by Lily Wachowski (The Matrix), which is currently on the festival circuit, further expanding Arewà’s presence across film and performance. Whether on stage, on screen, in fashion and beauty campaigns, or through her sonic endeavors, Arewà’s practice offers a radical invitation to witness transformation in real time.

    the whole biography
Concrete Husband is a NYC-based producer, DJ, composer, and flutist whose work bridges hypnotic techno, contemporary composition, and surrealist sound design. His forward-thinking dance records Piel and Pelvic Resonance, released on White Owl Records, received critical acclaim, with Document Journal describing his music as “redefining avant-garde composition.” Educated at New England Conservatory, he draws on a deep knowledge of musical history to create emotionally charged sonic narratives that blur the line between the sensual and the uncanny. His DJ sets move through hypnotic grooves and psychological tension. A fixture of the Brooklyn techno scene, he has been seen countless times at BASEMENT, Paragon, and Knockdown Center, as well as at WIRE Festival and Merge. He is a resident of the Mexico City collective Pervert. As a composer and flutist, he merges virtuosic performance with experimental approaches to sound. Integrating live flute into his work, he has developed a singular performance language that led Eartheater to invite him to open her 2024 international tour, alongside a headline debut at Silent Green. His compositions have been presented at Amant, MoMA PS1, Museum of Modern Art, MUNCH, and Palazzo Reale. He has also scored Dion Lee’s Shanghai Fashion Week presentation and contributed flute compositions to the A24 film Beau Is Afraid. Most recently, he released the experimental project "Where The Ashes Glow" on NNA Tapes.

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Relaxer is the project of Daniel Martin-McCormick, fka Ital, member of Black Eyes, Cry and Gaze and co-founder of Dripping. Rooted in the US punk/noise underground of the late '90s and early 2000s, Martin-McCormick's music embodies a sensual, visceral edge that reflects and extends that legacy. His hardware live sets, honed over a decade of tours, are exhilarating, white knuckle rides, while his DJ sets fluidly cross genres and eras with a cathartic sense of urgency. He's been a repeat performer at Berghain (where the Relaxer project made its live debut), De School, Unsound, Nowadays and many others. On his first five self-titled EPs and albums "Concealer" (Planet Mu), "Coconut Grove" (Avenue 66) and "Hedonic Fatigue" (Climate of Fear), his productions stretch out, weaving strands of wormhole techno, minimal, noise, UK hardcore continuum and fractured ambient into a rippling, mesmeric tapestry. More recent club-focused EPs "Licking" and "Candy" (Lovers Rock Recordings) sharpen the blade, amping up his music's animalistic snarl and erotic undertones. 2024's "Break" saw him working in drum n bass-techno hybrid form after a special live set was commissioned by NY dnb cult fav party Headznite. It was released by experimental fav 29 Speedway, with two remixes from DJ Marcelle. Following his composition studies with Morton Subotnick, Relaxer's music has also evolved a new modality: alongside his club works there have been concerts of long form durational works featuring spoken word and richly spatialized sound design. His debut performance in this new style was a standout at Sustain-Release Year Seven. These works were released in the Summer of 2022 as "Force Field: A Guide for the Perplexed" on Club Night Club. "In Softening Air," the follow up, is out on Lovers Rock Recordings. Behind the scenes, Martin-McCormick has been a consistent force shaping the US underground. He is the co-founder of Dripping camping festival and NY-based event series. He was a key member of Sustain-Release from its inception and co-director from 2017-2021, founded the labels Lovers Rock Recordings & Climate of Fear, was one of the first residents at Bossa Nova Civic Club. He currently holds a residencies at The Lot Radio and Dripping.

Tauceti has been one of the figures of this new generation of techno artists to follow very closely for a few years now. First as a DJ, where she distills a dark, tropical and sensual techno with percussive and vaporous rhythms in her mix. She further stands for a very particular elegance and a certain, clearly audible maturity, which makes her stand out. Tauceti then also stepped up as a producer, thanks to collaborations and EPs, the last of which appeared on the 30D Records in 2022. Through this work of exploration of and in between sonorous patterns, she demonstrates her talent to break down silos, oscillating between ambient and techno, between strange reverie and raw realism, between bright lights and heavy tablecloths.

Igarashi’s distinctive take on techno is on display across a series of EPs on Midgar and The Bunker NY, as well as on Semantica, Time to Express, and Bitta. Recent standout remixes of Aurora Halal, Volte-Face and Prins Thomas have further demonstrated his considerable talents as a producer. The same mentality is present in his performances, whether DJing or playing live, with his measured control of frequencies and intensities shaping the dancefloor as he explores the more psychedelic dimensions of techno. In this way, Igarashi’s considered approach is one that stimulates the body and mind, generating energy and emotion. Wata Igarashiは独自のサウンドを確立したアーティストだ。緻密なサウンドデザインや構成力を持ち、陶酔感とサイケデリックさを融合させたIgarashi特有のテクノは、MidgarやThe Bunker NYの一連のEPやSemantica、Time to Express、 Bittaのリリースで聴く事ができる。

  • “Xiaolin's elusive, dreamlike sonic world treads the delicate balance between light and dark, tension and release.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Xiaolin's elusive, dreamlike sonic world treads the delicate balance between light and dark, tension and release. Inspired by sounds from the mid 80’s-early 00’s, and driven by her love for film, anime, nature and French impressionism, Xiaolin’s atmospheric, analog synth-heavy productions range from gritty acid and hypnotic tech house with earthy percussion to tripped-out electro, shimmering techno and dubby downtempo ambience that invoke feelings of romantic adventure. Despite her ever-evolving nature, Xiaolin’s ethereal-yet-grounded sound remains a signature throughout all productions, combining soft imagination with raw power. Xiaolin is sensitive to the dance floor and curates a dynamic journey unbound by genre, digging deep in order to discover unlikely connections. Her house-to-techno DJ sets, sprinkled with progressive and organic sounds, 303 and breaks, draw energy from the four elements, while her original live set has three formats: “Sun” for sunrise settings, “Moon” for meditative settings and “Body” for nightclub settings. Releases include two EP’s on 宀 Records, a collaborative track on Klasse Wrecks, VA contributions on 20/20 Vision (Exit Planet Earth - “Helium”), Polychrome Audio (“Diffraction EP”) and Harmony Rec (upcoming), as well as three 80’s Cantonese disco tribute EP’s on Sound Metaphors’ “Bless You” imprint (A&R by Jane Fitz). Her live set recordings for QEONE’s SoundSculptors series and Rainbow Disco Club have garnered critical acclaim. Past highlights include Wonderfruit Festival, Boiler Room, Transmissions at FOLD, Nuits Sonores, Essaim Paris, Blitz Club and Panorama Bar. She made her Rainbow Disco Club live set debut with Kuniyuki Takahashi in April 2025, with standout appearances at Monument, Draaimolen and CODA by Ratherlost and Pax-Romana for ADE. Xiaolin previously hosted a bimonthly show on Baihui Radio China and has done guest mixes on The Mudd Show, The Lot Radio, NTS, Noods, Test Pressing, EYA, Trommel and Balamii amongst others.
