Myyuh is an Egyptian American New York City based DJ and multidisciplinary artist. Her DJ sets include a unique blend of African, Arabic, Latin, Funky house, Breaks, and R&B music. Myyuh blurs the lines of genre by bringing a playful and high energy to the dance floor through her unique sets—no two are ever the same. As a DJ and organizer of cultural communal spaces, she uses her vast knowledge of music as a tool to help promote self discovery and community connection. She is the co-founder and co-curator of HAZA, a dance party and radio show (Haza.fm) that spotlights talent and music from Arab, Asian, and African diasporas. ⟫ saHHar ⵣ سَهّار is a DJ and co-founder of the Berlin-based collective saHHara, and a resident of the event series Haram Night. ⟫ Born and raised in Tunis and now based in Berlin, he explores the musical electronic landscapes by blending North African rhythms such as mezoued, raï, chaabi, stambeli, and Arabic music with electronic sounds such as bouncy & groovy techno and house. His sets often include live elements like drums and vocals. With strong ties to the underground scenes, saHHar started out playing in illegal raves and organizing events to fill gaps he felt in the Berlin scene to give space to underrepresentated artists and sounds. Today his focus is on community events, club performances and fundraisers for various causes. ⟫ Inspired by artists like Ammar 808, Acid Arab, Saliah, and Sina XX, saHHar continues to explore how traditional sounds can find new life within modern club music. Saphe is a Syrian, New York-based DJ and curator and co-founder of Laylit, a monthly dance party and platform that brings together DJ sets and live instruments by artists from the MENA region and its diaspora. Approaching the dancefloor as a space of experimentation through which new forms of Arabic dance music can emerge, Saphe’s sets consist of highly percussive bass music, engaging with a variety of styles and practices from breakbeats, jungle & D&B, breaky techno, and his signature Arabic electronic beats.
