In a culture of new artists competing for digital real estate Greene anchored his career in the physical: He toured. Playing top European venues such as Fabric Live, Plastic People, Panoramabar and major festivals like Sonar, MUTEK, the Bloc Weekender and Bozar Electronic Weekender, he steadily conquered each crowd with his undeniably potent songs and infectious demeanor. With “Another Girl”, all the hype came to him. Tearing down the gate with two EPs on LuckyMe and Nightslugs, and nothing short of an anthem on the latter’s Allstar compilation, he grew as the best artists do. With quality releases and unforgettable live shows. As the initial disbelief at how young he was, his love of heart aching RnB, his mys- terious appearance, and what he uses to record begins to sink further and further back into the pages of Google, the initial hype will be followed by better and better music. New original music, limited run white labels, a jaw-dropping analog live show, and the launch of his own imprint Vase have further established his vision leading towards his debut full length.Their RA profile lists Night Slugs, LuckyMe, Vase, UNO and 1 more.Recently at Webster Hall, Rash, Kings Hall - Avant Gardner · often with Nosaj Thing, EDEN BEKELE, Jubilee, none of them here that night
“FAUZIA first broke through as a DJ.”
their own biography
the whole biography
FAUZIA first broke through as a DJ. Inspired by the interwoven legacies of fast music from either side of the Atlantic, her monthly NTS show sees her blend together the best of footwork, jungle and everything in between — with the likes of Mall Grab, Kode9, DJ Taye, Om Unit and Ikonika stopping in for guest spots. The start of 2020 saw FAUZIA start to showcase her own original music for the first time, first with a celebrated production mix for DISCWOMAN, and then with a contribution to the flagship 10th edition in HAUS of ALTR’s various artists series — picking up glowing press from Resident Advisor, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Crack, Pitchfork and more in the process. It was with a series of missives released during the pandemic that FAUZIA’s music really started to evolve - from the starry-eyed breaks of ‘Fragments’ through to ‘are you hoping for a miracle?’ and ‘time’, a pair of downtempo pop releases that saw FAUZIA sing on her material for the first time while also collaborating with Kelela and George Riley. Her new live show debuted at Wysing Polyphonic in the Summer of 2021, followed by appearances supporting Loraine James and Space Afrika. December 2021 saw FAUZIA sell out her first headline at Southbank Centre’s Purcell room, accompanied by her band.Recently at Eavesdrop, public records, Paragon · often with HOMESICKFORANOTHERPLANET, Honey Bun, Dillinja, none of them here that night
