Rainbow Tutu plays wide-ranging, unpretentious sets that prioritize setting and energy over genre and ego. Expect the unexpected: everything from Balearic, new wave, and Chicago house to experimental club, leftfield bass, and footwork (plus the odd ambient and listening sets). You can find Rainbow Tutu DJing at Bossa Nova Civic Club, Happyfun Hideaway, Rash, Purgatory, Rebecca's, and many other fine establishments and DIY spaces across NYC Rainbow Tutu organizes and hosts the TASTE THE RAINBOW series, which has thrown 16 free parties at Bossa Nova Civic Club, Rash, Purgatory, and Rebecca's. TASTE THE RAINBOW has featured everything from DJ sets by local legends and live performances by up-and-coming avant-garde artists, to charity fundravers and free skillshare courses on "How to DJ 101," "How to Use CDJS," and "How to Operate Club Lights." Every party offers free food, earplugs, and fun lil giveaways, plus a donation drive for local community fridges. Rainbow Tutu also co-organizes and co-hosts Open Decks for Gaza Mixes and sets: https://www.mixcloud.com/rainbowtutudj/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rainbowtutudj/ Email: rainbowtutudj@gmail.comLast at Rash in Nov · often with Duriya, MAXWELL HöUSE, explains nothing, none of them here that night

the whole biography
Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and shaped by over 15 years living in New York City, her sound reflects a blend of cultures, rhythms, and late-night dance floor energy. Rather than locking into rigid genre boundaries, she approaches DJing as a journey—focused on flow, pacing, and atmosphere above all else. Her sets move fluidly through all shades of house music, pulling from deep, minimal, Afro-influenced, melodic, and percussive sounds. The goal is always to create a wave-like experience: steady, hypnotic, and immersive, where dancers can settle into the groove and stay present in the moment. Selections are intentional yet unforced, prioritizing feeling and movement over trends. She has played venues across New York City including Arlo Williamsburg, Musica, and Jolene Sound Room, while also supporting cafés, small businesses, and community spaces through intimate DJ sets. These varied environments have shaped a versatile approach—equally comfortable guiding a packed club floor or setting the tone in smaller, more personal rooms. At the core of her work is a desire to create shared motion through sound, allowing listeners to let go, lock in, and ride the groove together.often with DAYTIMERS NYC, Sleepy & Boo, Kimonos, none of them here that night
