Born Wellington New Zealand. Started mixing around 1980 after being influenced by the (Italo)disco scene in The Hague. Professional DJ career started in 1990 with squat and club parties in The Hague. Got an installment in LA D.S. club in The Hague in 1992 until 1996 to DJ weekly House, Garage & Disco on Sunday nights. Appeared inbetween on several local parties and clubs. Ever since 1994 weekly guest DJ for regional pirate radio stations together with I-f and crew. (Trend FM, Radical Radio) Since 1999 till now active as DJ in the European clubcircuit (Panorama Bar Berlin, Barcelona, Paard Den Haag , Melkweg Amsterdam , Moscow, Dublin, Glasgow, Madrid, Geneva, Munich etc.) First record produced in 1994 as Silverstream for Top Secret records (TS-004) Started The Parallax Corporation together with I-F in 1998 and produced the clubhit 'Lift Off (Viewlexx V12/5) followed up by the Cocadisco series (Viewlexx V12/10, V12/11, V12/12 & V12/16) The Cocadisco Album (2-LP/CD) later appeared on Disko B. Involved in The Parallax Corporation remix for Jolly Music's-Radio Jolly (Sony) Adult.'s-Hand to Phone (Clone), Ganymed's-Music Takes Me Higher (Sabotage) and Japanese Telecom remix on Detroit's Intuit Solar Records. Last vinyl production as The Conservatives (2003) together with I-F. Since the first days a regular mixer on The Cybernetic Broadcasting System (2002 till now). DC Salas is a Belgian DJ and producer hailing from Brussels with Peruvian origins. With house, techno, trance, italo & New Beat, in his sets, DC Salas takes you on a varied journey where energy always leads the way. Alongside his residencies at the legendary Fuse club in Brussels and Kiosk Radio, he has also played at Robert Johnson (Franfkurt), Opium (Vilnius), Renate (Berlin), Rex Club (Paris), Nitsa (Barcelona), Sunday Sunday (Mexico), iBoat (Bordeaux), Kaputt (Bogota), Le Sucre (Lyon), C12, Horst Festival, Dour Festival, Pukkelpop, Paradise City, Transmusicales de Rennes and many more. As a producer he’s released EPs and remixes on prestigious labels such as Live at Robert Johnson, Correspondant, Relish, Kill The DJ, Futureboogie, B-Pitch Control and of course Biologic Records, the label he co-runs since 2012. It’s on this label that he’s released his first LP “The Unspoken LP” in 2017. 2022 also saw DC Salas pass a milestone as he just released his 20th EP “Voces” on Live at Robert Johnson. This also marked his 3rd release on the legendary label. For nearly three decades, Beartrax has been exploring a wide range of instruments and styles since first picking up the violin. His musical journey consisted of playing in orchestras, jazz ensembles, and a metal band before he discovered electronic music in late 2011, after which he dove head-on into the world of production and DJing. The currently New York-based artist’s productions and performances consist of synth-laden melodies with seamlessly blended violins in order to reflect his rich musical background and passion for melodies. His influences span heavy metal, punk, new wave, and classical music. Over the years, his productions have climbed several charts and gained support from renowned DJs. In pursuit of his artistic vision, he launched his own imprint, Melodize, as a platform to showcase his unique approach to house, disco, and techno. Beyond his own work, Melodize has featured tracks and remixes from artists such as Lauer, Massimiliano Pagliara, Legowelt, Fabrizio Mammarella, Undo, and Aural Trace, receiving support from Skatebård, Gerd Janson, I-F, Jennifer Cardini, and Alexander Robotnick, among others. The label has hosted showcases at venues such as Renate and Sisyphos in Berlin, Freedonia in Barcelona, Silbergold in Frankfurt, and Bossa Nova Civic Club in his home base of New York. Beartrax has also appeared throughout venues and parties in New York such as Good Room, Mansions, Cityfox, and House of Yes. Additionally, his mixes have appeared on Bordello A Parigi, Minitel, Music is 4 Lovers, and Bespoke Musik, among other platforms.
