Born in Ohio and raised by New York clubs, Cosmo is a shining modern representative of the city’s Golden Age of DJing, in skill, in spirit, and in sensibility. A forever student of 90s subcultures, Cosmo is now an authority in connecting those dots, decompartmentalizing genres during her sets and revitalizing the club as a much needed space for expression and joy. Cosmo may open a night with her early entry points to dance music, gospel and funk and vocal-heavy RnB, and proceed to blend break beats with new jack swing or old-school house with tribal—all delivered with remarkable clarity of voice and a sense of self that fueled her fated teenage move to New York to DJ over a decade ago. Being from the Midwest, her house music literacy circles its epicenters and favors groovy records, warm basslines, playful vocals, and elating instrumentals that stir the spirit. Her deep knowledge, cultural curiosity, and refreshing authenticity make Cosmo one of New York’s most in-demand DJs, a regular at the most iconic clubs and a Fashion Week party go-to. She is a resident at Public Records, where she can explore every inch of her collection and join forces with legends like Sandy Rivera as well as other torchbearing peers. She’s represented the city sharing the decks with her heroes like Honey Dijon and Mike Dunn, and on esteemed platforms such as Benji B’s BBC Radio 1 show and Luke Solomon’s Classic Music Company show. As a longtime resident at The Lot Radio, Cosmo gets the opportunity to share everything she cherishes and often includes parts of her CD and magazine archives. Music has soundtracked Cosmo’s every move. Her gratitude for her practice is apparent, and her effervescence behind the decks reaches the crowd no matter the size of the room—a musical hug that holds dancers through times good and bad.Recently at National Sawdust, Paragon, Signal · often with Donis, Hidden Spheres, Ge-ology, none of them here that night

In the span of her journey, Niara has become an integral thread in the renaissance of music, community, style, and expression in New York. Originally from Virginia, Niara's roots have heavily influenced her developing sound - from an array of massive basslines, melodic patterns, and throbbing kicks summed up in a soulful pulse. In New York, she's occupied spaces like Brooklyn Mirage, Good Room, House of Yes, Jupiter Disco, Le Bain, and Public Records spinning subgenres of House and Soul music. She's been proud to have shared decks with artists she admires such as Aluna, Easy Mo Bee, Full Crate, DJ Spinna, Rich Medina and more. Her gift has granted her access to the world, performing at festivals like Tropíco in Mexico or touring with Talib Kweli around the country and Switzerland. Niara has also toured for brands like Burberry and has DJ'd for other artists like Ari Lennox, Alxndr London, Masego, and Mosey Sumney. In 2020, Niara was featured in Essence magazine as a "spin doctor you need to know and cannot afford to be clueless about." In 2021, Niara made her second appearance on national TV on the OWN network. She performed original music for a tv special called Vital Voices of 2021, hosted by Oprah Winfrey. With many other notches on her belt, Niara is most proud of her evolving sound as she blossoms into her ideal producer. Her new residency NICHE is where you can trust her to experiment in her purest form. Expect her rhythmic selections to be submerged, vast, lush, and sometimes otherworldly.Recently at Dead Letter No. 9, Xanadu, 99 Scott Ave · often with Meedy, pizzi, Aluna, none of them here that night
