Who they are
“BIIA is a portuguese electronic music artist who brings an emotional curiosity that is so mirrored in her creative process.”
their own biography
the whole biography
BIIA is a portuguese electronic music artist who brings an emotional curiosity that is so mirrored in her creative process. She creates a journey of self-expression that blends different approaches of techno. These are energetic and hard-hitting stories that can combine raw, hard, 90’s beats and peculiar sounds with different genres occasionally popping. Her productions express music without boundaries that oozes trippy elements with screaming kicks and sectionally her provocative and conceptual vocals. BIIA, disruptive and unappreciative of labels, is a talent that stays true to her artistic vision.Recently at The Chocolate Factory · often with Klaps, Luxi Villar, Mislaw, none of them here that night

the whole biography
Concrete Husband is a NYC-based producer, DJ, composer, and flutist whose work bridges hypnotic techno, contemporary composition, and surrealist sound design. His forward-thinking dance records Piel and Pelvic Resonance, released on White Owl Records, received critical acclaim, with Document Journal describing his music as “redefining avant-garde composition.” Educated at New England Conservatory, he draws on a deep knowledge of musical history to create emotionally charged sonic narratives that blur the line between the sensual and the uncanny. His DJ sets move through hypnotic grooves and psychological tension. A fixture of the Brooklyn techno scene, he has been seen countless times at BASEMENT, Paragon, and Knockdown Center, as well as at WIRE Festival and Merge. He is a resident of the Mexico City collective Pervert. As a composer and flutist, he merges virtuosic performance with experimental approaches to sound. Integrating live flute into his work, he has developed a singular performance language that led Eartheater to invite him to open her 2024 international tour, alongside a headline debut at Silent Green. His compositions have been presented at Amant, MoMA PS1, Museum of Modern Art, MUNCH, and Palazzo Reale. He has also scored Dion Lee’s Shanghai Fashion Week presentation and contributed flute compositions to the A24 film Beau Is Afraid. Most recently, he released the experimental project "Where The Ashes Glow" on NNA Tapes.Techno on 2, Afrobeat on 1, Art Rock on 1 and Ethereal on 1. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on White Owl Records (3) (2) and Gonzo Circus (1); their RA profile also lists NNA Tapes and White Owl Records. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Rash, Paragon, 9 Bob Note · often with Juana, Ne/Re/A, VILE, none of them here that night
