While Sevyn's calling for live instrumentation and musical arrangement has thrived, she has unanticipatedly embarked on her journey into the world of DJ'ing and established her name and footprint in musical spaces outside of her hometown, Washington DC. Sevyn is a producer, DJ, curator and founder of music platform and curatorial studio "Beautiful Noise" based in Brooklyn, NY. She seeks connections through music and her deep appreciation for culture and history radiates through narrative-driven mixes and productions. She centralizes story and narrative; genres are just chapters which, when taken together, are greater than the sum of their parts. Her energy on the dancefloor pulsates the same rhythm while weaving in and out of records from House gems to Jazz, Techno and Soul. Her commitment to music and sound has led her to opportunities in spaces outside of the club. She composed a piece for a film presented in the Alvin Ailey exhibit titled "Edges of Ailey", directed by Kya Lou and Josh Begley at The Whitney Museum in New York City. The birth of Beautiful Noise has expanded her role as a curator soundtracking The Getty Museum celebrating Black Visual Culture for the African American Art History Initiative. Her time as a DJ has brought her gigs internationally where she toured and opened for jazz musician Cktrl, played at the legendary Tresor in Berlin, London, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul and more. Whether playing in her stomping grounds or rocking dance floors overseas, Sevyn creates dance floor memories you'll want to replay again and again.Recently at Bossa Nova Civic Club, Silence Please, public records · often with Tlim Shug, Quelza, Donis, none of them here that night

Lovie's musical discovery began in the digital music age: a young lover of local radio and after-school MTV marathons, her early mixes took shape in the form of burned CDs she made for her friends. After relocating from her hometown of Washington, D.C. to New York in 2020, Lovie's unique selection of soulful, spiritual music swiftly ushered her into New York's local music scene. At the taste-making Brooklyn radio station, Lot Radio, she gave birth to her homey platform, summer school radio. For five years Lovie's radio mixes—now being offered as one of the station's few weekly residencies—have thumbed through the intimate corners of her music collection. She saunters through slow-groove disco, dusty '70s funk and groovy '80s jazz at a studied pace that makes it easy to marvel at every timeless chime, trill, and drum beat. She's as tempted by the bedroom pop of Clairo as much as the cosmic funk of Lonnie Liston Smith. Outside the Lot, Lovie presents summer school radio as soothing listening sessions around Brooklyn, providing warm balms for city fatigue with artists like alt-jazz harpist muva of Earth and New Age legend Laraaji. As co-founder of Soul Connection with long-time friend and collaborator, Honey Bun, she imbues the power of friendship and Black femme empowerment into sumptuous house music and '90s R&B spun with the patience and musicality associated with the East Coast house tradition. Connecting the mind, to the body, to the soul, her club sets inspire the warmest, most community-minded dance floors you'll find in the city. Her diligence to the craft, musical curiosity, and deep focus on the listening experience earned her a spot on Mixmag's Top 25 Breakthrough DJs of 2024. She now holds a coveted residency at Brooklyn club public records, and has played at art centers like MoMA, Brooklyn Academy of Music and The Beacon Theater, where she opened for Kamasi Washington. Her work has also brought her to international gigs at Paris's Djoon, London's Spiritland, and more. Whether playing on her stomping grounds or rocking dance floors overseas, Lovie creates honey-sweet dance floor memories you'll want to replay again and again.Recently at public records, Elsewhere, Eavesdrop · often with JADALAREIGN, Jenifa Mayanja, Analog Soul, none of them here that night

Honey Bun is an interdisciplinary afro-futurist artist whose work aims to reclaim the black past, affirm the black present, and demand the black future. Born in New York City, raised in Texas, and now based in Brooklyn, her selections blend the sounds of her east coast roots, southern upbringing, and the ever-evolving and interconnected sonic output of the global black diaspora. As a resident of Brooklyn’s iconic station, The Lot Radio, Honey Bun hosts her monthly show, ‘BUNTOPIA’, captivating listeners with an explorative monthly mix designed to "sonically journey through the cosmos". The sounds of BUNTOPIA extend into a party night often hosted by intimate NYC clubs, Le Bain and Mood Ring, featuring thoughtfully curated lineups of guest DJs, artists, and friends who share a similar future-forward approach to dance music. When on planet Earth, the sun sets, and the vibrant streets of Brooklyn come alive with the sounds of Soul Connection, a party series co-founded by Honey Bun and Lovie. Together and in community, they connect the mind, body and soul through an essential night of dancing and deep groove filled with glowing soulful house, disco, funk and r&b. Often selected as an RA pick of the week, the beloved party centers intergenerational Black femme DJs and prioritizes cultivating comfortable and love-filled dance floors between renowned Brooklyn clubs, Good Room, Nowadays and Public Records. Honey Bun is a highly sought after addition to any of NYC’s most exciting club nights, as a guest DJ alongside major touring international artists, and trusted by the underground scene to stand alone with the ever-precious all-nighter extended set. Her flexibility and fearlessness to take on any dance floor is reflective of her reputation as an “omnivorous selector” with a record collection and taste that runs wide and deep. While sensual and playful, she can carefully brew peak time moments of heady bass lines, famed drum breaks, and classic Detroit techno, all aiding in her natural inclination to buzz between universes with just a twist of a knob. A reputation that has earned her a newly minted residency at famed nightclub, Nowadays, in Queens, NY. Internationally recognized, Honey Bun has graced the airwaves of prominent stations such as Foundation FM, Rinse FM, Rinse France, and Balamii, along with highly-acclaimed club appearances across western Europe and the UK. Her style has earned her spots on esteemed festival lineups such as Sustain Release, Making Time, headlining the Brooklyn Mirage stage of Boiler Room Festival, and the Red Bull stage for The Governor’s Ball. She is often tapped as the local guest DJ to join international tours of artists like Disclosure, Nia Archives, HAAi, Palms Trax, Gerd Janson, TSHA, Benji B and more. Beyond her DJ work, she was previously the video host for Noisey's Questionnaire of Life and a producer of Emmy-award nominated music documentary series, The Story Of, showcasing her versatility in the music domain.Recently at Million Goods, Bossa Nova Civic Club, BASEMENT · often with Ayanna Heaven, Stonie Blue, beewack, none of them here that night

“„The craze about the music...“ ...the man called Prosumer is besotted with it.”

„The craze about the music...“ ...the man called Prosumer is besotted with it. Since Achim Brandenburg heartily grabbed the microphone under this moniker in 2005 for Frankfurt’s then undisputed Label Playhouse, he showed that lasciviousness, a fever for Chicago’s Jack flavour and consciousness of tradition aren’t necessarily bound to a time and a place. Vision, passion and knowledge make Prosumer a guardian of house music history and one of the formative artists, influential DJs and important producers of our days. While deriving his name from Alvin Toffler’s techno sci-fi-bible The Third Wave (producing and consuming at the same time), Prosumer lives up to his name. With more than a decade of Hard-Wax-Record-Store-enculturation on the clock (first in Saarbrucken, then Berlin), he spent countless nights in clubs, days looking for music and years refining his art and becoming in line with the “big three”. This is not a reference to Detroit’s car companies, but the city’s musical heritage that – together with the Big Apple and the Windy city – laid the foundation for techno and house builds with the Big Apple and the Windy City. Prosumer oscillates between these poles. That holds true for his productions, which are affected by references and historical vertexes, but never feel to be out of time or place. An album with Murat Tepeli and collaborations with Tama Sumo expand his discography for labels like the aforementioned Playhouse, Running Back or Swayzak’s 240 Volts. On the other hand – and that might be far more important – this is exemplary for his DJ work since the mid-nineties. Prosumer connects the tracks and songs of this music’s golden age with the worthwhile pieces and developments of today. Accordingly to that special feeling which is so hard to couch, he gets engaged in it from tip to toe – and so does his audience. Proved by his mission as one of the residents in Berlin’s influential club institution, on his official mix CD for that place that describes his spectrum of sound perfectly and by this certain magic that travels with and in him everywhere. „Through his body and through his veins...“Their RA profile lists Simple Records, Playhouse, Diamonds & Pearls, Ostgut Ton and 2 more.Recently at public records, Signal, HK Hall · often with Gene On Earth, Chris Cruse, Grace Sands, none of them here that night

Under the Priori moniker, Québecois musician Francis Latreille has established himself as a crucial voice in underground techno. Across a sprawling discography, including two full length albums, several eps, and a host of collaborative projects, Priori builds a hyper-detailed world steeped in science fiction and fantasy, residing somewhere between the biological and the synthetic, the actual and the possible. Priori’s meticulously crafted dance music is full of fractalizing patterns, ear-prickling textures, and crystalline melodies that emerge and flicker in stunning detail; it is evocative, enchanting, and always moving. Priori is also an accomplished mixing engineer who has worked with James K, Bambii, Maara, Ex-terrestrial, Roza Terenzi, D.Tiffany, Regular Fantasy, Ramzi, URA and many more. As one half of NAFF recordings and the Jump Source recording studio, Francis is steadily shaping the course of underground electronic dance music in Canada and abroad. On May 30th, 2024, released his third full length album. Entitled This but More, the record sees Priori sidestepping the club in favor of a more contemplative space, yielding electronic compositions layered with acoustic instrumentation and spectral processing. The album includes a booklet of suggested stories by Devon Hansen and animated visuals by Jack Anderson.Their RA profile lists Clone Records, Echovolt, BAKK, ASL Singles Club and 5 more.Recently at Mansions, public records, Nowadays · often with adobeprincess, Berghain, Jek, none of them here that night
