Born in Chicago and raised between worlds, Uche’s life has been defined by adaptation. At age 5, he moved to Lagos, where he shed his American accent, learned Igbo, Yoruba, and Pidgin, fetched water for his household, trekked to school, and became the youngest member of the prestigious All Saints Church Choir in Yaba. These formative years forged a warrior-like resilience and a natural instinct to evolve. Returning to Chicago as a teenager, Uche once again recalibrated—compartmentalizing his Lagos experiences. Living between these extremes shaped him into a rare cultural bridge, fusing African diasporic influence with contemporary Western sonics in ways still largely unexplored, fluent in contrast, both culturally and sonically. That duality is reflected in the breadth of his music. Alongside the stark emotional architecture of Brutalist RnB, the genre he pioneered, Uche seamlessly creates Afrobeats, Amapiano, Baile Funk, club anthems and beyond - sounds born from growing up between Lagos streets, church choirs, Chicago basements, and global digital culture. His music moves effortlessly between intimacy and impact, underground and mainstream, tradition and futurism. Clash Magazine declared Uche as "looking to transcend the genres of trap and hip-hop in pursuit of something greater". Writing, producing, recording, and engineering most of his work himself, Uche builds immersive sonic worlds that feel visionary yet personal. His melodies carry emotional precision, his lyricism cuts with poetic honesty, and his production conjures atmospheres that feel both worldly and otherworldly. Stamped by Wonderland as "the next hottest prospect to emerge", he has performed live on Fire in the Booth, On The Radar and BBC Radio 1xtra. In a landscape saturated with noise, Uche stands apart—cinematic yet grounded, introspective yet commanding. Existing in the tension between softness and strength, light and shadow, his music doesn’t just resonate; it feels essential.Their RA profile lists Idea Records and Nowhere.Recently at Le Bain, Mood Ring, The Bowery Electric · often with Mudia, SAY3, J-Cush, none of them here that night

Born in Long Island, NY and based in Jersey City, NJ Shawna Solaris channels the radiant energy of the sun into her electrifying Afro House sets. Her name reflects this solar inspiration, symbolizing warmth, power, and connection. Shawna's journey with Afro House began during her travels through South Africa, where she fell in love with the hypnotic rhythms of African electronic music. Inspired by this experience, she has cultivated a signature sound that fuses South African-influenced beats with rich electronic textures, while drawing from the soulful melodies of old-school neo-soul music, a sound she grew up with thanks to her father's influence. The result is an immersive sonic experience that transcends the ordinary. Behind the decks, Shawna Solaris guides listeners on rhythmic journeys designed to move both the body and the soul. Her mission is simple yet powerful: to transport people out of their minds and into their bodies through the transformative power of music. When she's not behind the decks, Shawna enjoys traveling, hiking, and exploring the world of wellness and herbalism, pursuits that continue to inspire her creative flow and connection to sound.Last at 57-38 Myrtle Ave in Nov 2025 · often with BRINGYOURFRIENDS, Ka$h, Ionize, none of them here that night
