Discolypso is a global record label, DJ collective, and creative platform operating between New York, Europe, Mexico City, and the Mediterranean underground. Rooted in cosmic disco, Balearic sounds, tropical rhythms, leftfield electronic music, and rare groove culture, Discolypso has spent the last decade building a distinct universe where nightlife, Hi-Fi listening culture, art, and emotional storytelling collide. The label has developed a reputation for championing eclectic artists and genre-defying releases that balance dancefloor energy with deep musicality. Over the years, Discolypso has collaborated with acclaimed names including François K, Prins Thomas, Dombrance, Rigopolar, Daniele Baldelli, Ray Mang, and many others across the global disco and underground electronic scene. The label’s catalog spans cosmic chuggers, psychedelic disco, tropical edits, synth-driven journeys, and emotionally charged electronic releases. Notable projects include Tropical City by Daniele Baldelli & Marco Dionigi, Dombrance’s politically infused electronic releases and animated visual projects, Ichisan’s Fantasound EP, Ray Mang remix packages, and a growing collection of vinyl and digital releases. Beyond the label itself, Discolypso has become known for immersive parties, listening sessions, and cultural programming that blur the line between club culture and artistic experience. Based in NYC, Sebastian Valencia is one of the most heart-touching and talented South American musicians of his generation. Born in Cali Colombia, the capital of salsa music, gifted in terms of rhythm and musicality, he has performed in the most recognized venues of his natal country Colombia, and the sexiest and coolest places around NYC. Versace, Michael Kors, TBA, The Williamsburg Hotel, Chelsea Music Hall, Open Air, and Norwood, are just a few names that collaborated with Sebastian to produce media or Live Performances. His obsession with good music and art drove him to create authentic and amazing compositions. Danilo Braca is an expert audio professional, with a long track record as a mixing engineer, DJ and music producer. Born in Italy and influenced by his father’s love for collecting records and for audiophile HiFi gear, Danilo started DJing at the age of 13. Shortly thereafter started working as a sound engineer in music studios in Rome, where he specialized in mixing audio for film and TV. In 2012 he moved to NYC, where he founded The Sound of New York City, a web radio and a music production studio. He has built a strong reputation as a club DJ, as a producer and as a mixing engineer. His most recent work includes production on labels such as Music for Dreams, Best Record, House of Music, Jumbo Records, Sirsound Records, HGS, and mixing/mastering on labels such as World Famous, Music For Dreams, Best Record, TSoNYC, House of Music. As a DJ he has performed as a headliner at venues such as LeBain at The Standard (NYC), House of Yes (NYC), Cielo (NYC), Output (NYC), ATV (Miami), Eagle Room (Miami), Air (Tokyo) Sunday Sunday (Mexico City), Departamento (Mexico City) and many more around the world. Danilo created 2 record labels and released 5 EP that caught many ears in the underground community. His style as a DJ has remained very eclectic with the ability to blend Afro-disco, synth pop, Italo Cosmic, Garage House, Disco, Prog- Rock, Chicago Old School House, Philly vibes and Techno all in one set. In the late 2019 he founded TSoNYC - The Sound of New York City record label and he released names like DJ Spinna, DJ Nature, The Revenge, Ashley Beedle, DJ Rocca and many more to come this year like Ron Trent and others that cannot be revealed yet. In 2020 winner of the Beatport competition to remix the DJ Harvey’s song, “Berghain”.
