DJ Gay Panic has spent more than a decade embedded in New York’s queer underground, shaping sets that are bratty, vocal-heavy, maximalist, and steeped in pop-cultural brain rot. He has played across Brooklyn, though his favorite appearances remain queer parties in the woods. Alongside the poet Candystore, he founded SLOP Salon, a recurring performance-art party at Parkside Lounge. He is also a member of the drag and nightlife collective The Nobodies and has shared bills with The Millionaires, Rochelle Jordan, and 2charm. Outside the booth, he works on the marketing team at Elsewhere promoting the club-side of the venue’s programming. At night he writes The Deviant Dispatch on Substack. His work has appeared in The Washington Post, PAPER, and Pitchfork.Recently at Bossa Nova Civic Club, The Sultan Room, Elsewhere · often with Heaven Ender, Drag Artist Cunty Ham, DJ Blew Velvet, none of them here that night
