Maayan Nidam, also performing as THE WAVES is an artist in flux, continues to change, evolve and challenge boundaries both in her Berlin studio and on stage. She has built a reputation as a fine producer, live performer & DJ who favours a subtle approach towards mesmeric moments. Her DJ sets, predominantly based in stripped-back, deep sounds, utilise an intriguing vinyl collection, using obscure interludes for re-contextualisation. This approach makes for some magical moments on the dance-floor, where a night’s highlight may come from the most unlikely of tracks. As a musician obsessed about sound and the technology behind its creation, her workflow places a strong focus on the studio environment. Triggering chain reactions between guitar pedals, drum machines, modular synths and acoustic instruments, generating sounds in unpredictable, exciting ways. As THE WAVES, Maayan has developed a solo live set that allows her to further her studio experiments and take them on the road. With a flexibly evolving range of hardware, she re-creates the spontaneous frame of her productions, delving deep into the possibilities of live dubbing and improvisation, keeping the performance exciting for both the crowd and Maayan herself.Their RA profile lists Perlon, Wolf + Lamb, Powershovel Audio, Giegling and 3 more.Recently at Signal, H0L0, Jolene Sound Room Brooklyn · often with Thomas Melchior, André Galluzzi, Mandrake, none of them here that night

Jason Lindner - aka flymyspcshp - is a contemporary electronic musician, composer, producer and sound healer from Brooklyn, NY, best known for his post-jazz/hybrid electronic band Now Vs Now and for his keys and synth work on David Bowie's final Grammy-winning album ‘★’ (blak-stär). With an artistic identity spanning genres, cultures, formats, and technologies, Jason frequently performs and collaborates within the New York underground electronic, dance, experimental, jazz and performance art communities, exploring the cross-sections of live electronic music and spontaneous improvisation for immersive sonic journeys both on and off the dance floor, from raves to meditative work. Lindner’s active collaborations include the groundbreaking Moment Machine with digital drummer/producer Currency Audio and the North African futurist ensemble Saha Gnawa. Jason’s talents and skills have also served in collaboration with a broad spectrum of visionary artists including Lauryn Hill, Meshell Ndegeocello, Mulatu Astatke, Angélique Kidjo, Salami Rose Joe Louis, Nikki Nair, JKriv, Toribio, Greg Paulus (No Regular Play), No Eyes, LNDFK, Nu Jazz, Maiya Blaney, Sidra Bell, Poncili Creación and the Hybrid Movement Company. “The Story of Baby Prince.....”

the whole biography
The Story of Baby Prince..... BABY PRINCE, or the creature formerly known as Sade`s personal disco ball, brings nothing to your party and he doesn´t want to be there. Yes, he can be known by other names and times he has been known to haunt: Brooklyn’s Marcy Hotel, Partner of Wolf and Lamb, Monsieur G. Mizrahi. And yes, these labels, parties and friends were a moment that called out to all of us, saying „slow down, listen, and think“, and all the points in this constellation continue to have their place in dance music. But in the case of the now, and of our dear Baby Prince, what exactly are we reckoning with? A misanthropic lover of twisted psychic carnivals, whose untimely devotion – to staying at home instead of going out – forces a reassessment of the clubbing times we inhabit, the places that we frequent, and the music that supposedly gets us there. Joy and Pain, Sunshine and Rain: as the universe casts the dice of life, the souls of decadents deviously gather the fruits of electronic dance music, roaming among the insipid kickdrums of third-wave detroit techno and paltry reproductions of „deep“ Chicago house. But sometimes, a being of magnitude and depth unleashes a force upon these agitated masses: a blistering liberation of the sleepless crackers, those yellow-bellied fiends of the night who circulate mindlessly from one speaker stack to the next. Baby Prince, however, seems not to care about all of this. Well, perhaps that is untrue; perhaps even unfair. For given his penchant to mix stiff drinks with sequined headbands and 100 bpm sex jam anthems, you may find that despite his own best efforts, the party seethes through his soul, lying dormant like an itch he can’t scratch until the release of the first record he drops. And yes, this all plays quite well to your and to my advantage, dear friend. Because as the party inches quietly through the folds of his capillaries, hands, and fingertips, as he tweaks knobs and prunes cuts like a manic gardener of the groove, all of this will finally erupt into full fleshly display on the jacking bodies and euphoric faces of BABY PRINCE and all his menagerie of freaks, together and ready to set your party off.Their RA profile lists Wolf + Lamb, Double Standard Records, somethinksounds and Soul Clap Records.Recently at The Ornate Studio, The Boiler @ ELM Foundation · often with Uncle Rudy, Sundae Suki, MLE, none of them here that night
