His music moves a dancefloor the way a great soundtrack moves through a game, laced with a melancholic imagination that listeners clock immediately. The tracks are brought to life through visualizations from longtime collaborator Nam Mac, whose work channels similar influence— together they've built a world for listeners to get lost in, one that's been synced with campaigns for Marc Jacobs' Heavn, Adidas, and G-Shock. The breakout moment came during a support set for Sammy Virji at Elsewhere in Brooklyn, when a clip of wev's edit of the Cowboy Bebop theme "TANK!" went viral, racking up tens of millions of streams and extending his universe through the same kind of playful reference that defines his production. That connection has come full circle through games themselves— "watchyaback!" became a standout on the OST of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, the critically acclaimed spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio, and "shigoto werk" was placed in Rocket League in early 2026. Built independently and grown organically from New York and Tokyo outward, his debut album OST— as in original soundtrack, the format that first carried this music to him and now the definitive statement of his own, arrives May 2026. The album traces dance music's lineage through the games that carried it to a new generation, then brings it back to the source. wev has toured internationally, with a debut album run spanning North America, Asia, and Europe planned for 2026.Recently at Elsewhere, House of Yes, Bric House · often with nextdimensional, OSSX, Stonie Blue, none of them here that night

Born and raised in Armenia, Viktor Vardanyan, known as Vard. (formerly Vrdnyn), discovered his passion for music at a young age. Influenced by legends like Barry White, Michael Jackson, and Jamiroquai, he began playing piano at seven and has been blending soul and electronic elements ever since. As a producer, he’s crafted records for rising artists such as Riovaz, Kanii, and Alyzée, while developing his own signature sound in house music. His breakout single Shoreditch cemented his deep house roots, earning him a rapidly growing audience and over 700,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. In November 2024, Vard. made his DJ debut at Elsewhere’s Zone One, delivering a dynamic two-and-a-half-hour set to 200 people. The success of that night fueled his passion for DJing, leading to more shows in New York, Miami, and Houston, with his first international performance coming in November at London’s iconic Jazz Cafe. Vard. is eager to connect with his evolving fanbase on more new dance floors around the world.Recently at Elsewhere, Le Bain · often with Akin, Armeen, Cataractive, none of them here that night
