Raised in Boston and based in Brooklyn, pastiche is a Chinese-American DJ whose lifelong passion for dance music is reflected in his genre-agnostic selections, informed by years of collecting records and as a participant in New York’s vibrant underground scene. Grounded in a foundational respect for UK soundsystem culture and experimental music, pastiche’s sets explore the interplay between musical styles, favoring textural tracks that blur the lines between genres to craft unique stories. Never content on settling for one lane, his mixes traverse multiple influences ranging from techno, dubstep, breakbeat, jungle, and drum & bass with a playful, restless approach that’s self-described as the result of unmedicated childhood ADHD.Recently at Earthly Delights, Rash, Trans-Pecos · often with Jones, DJ eh, Aleister, none of them here that night
