With an affinity for subwoofers and devilish dub, Brutal Twink seeks to represent the full dialectic spectrum of bass music. He encapsulates the most literal sense of his name: boyish brutality. His selection is tongue in cheek and unmistakingly genre-bending — entrancing his listeners to truly embody his love of syncopated rhythm. He co-runs both, Life Of (@life.of.nyc) and Community Hole (@communityhole_nyc), and has played venues Jupiter Disco, Mood Ring, Bossa Nova, Jade Bar and RASH.Recently at Mood Ring, Rash, Bossa Nova Civic Club · often with Subcultures, Melona, Actual Angel, none of them here that night

Brooklyn-based DJ by way of the Midwest, tylerfromwhere never lets his roots stray far from the dance floor. After years of supporting friends as a host and partygoer on NYC’s nightlife circuit, his journey led him behind the decks at some of the city’s hot spots, including Mansions, the Lot Radio, Jupiter Disco, Le Bain, and Elsewhere. The primary objective in his musical journey is diving deeper into the genres that shaped the soundscape of his youth: house, R&B, disco, and the dance music he discovered from digging through his mom's trove of cassette tapes. He’s proven his versatility with regular bookings ranging from the upscale chic of Peoples and W Hotel, the wild energy of Wiggle Room and Cafe Balearica's basement club, and local haunts like Casanara in Bedstuy. Tyler loves to move a room, but he's rooted in being a student of the craft with an ear tuned to the groove. This same energy fuels Gruv Theory, his recently launched newsletter, radio show, and party series which serves as a creative exploration of his “here, there, and where.” And when he’s not in the booth, he’s back out with the crowd — reminding us all that there’s no place like the dance floor.Recently at Dead Letter No. 9, Jupiter Disco, Mansions · often with gabby cocco, Extra Meesh, Dee Diggs, none of them here that night
