DJ and record collector for over 15 years, Mari Mac Dowell born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, now resides in Brooklyn, NY, where for almost seven years she has been expanding her collection of obscure brazilian and african records, jazz, house and other eccentric noises. Her sets are always energetic with a lot of synthesizers and percussive grooves. Mari became a regular in the booth of a few underground clubs in the city such as Mood Ring, Black Flamingo, Jupiter Disco, Public Records among others. Inveterate music researcher she is always looking for hidden gems to elevate you to other frequencies.Recently at Jupiter Disco, Eavesdrop, public records · often with Honey Bun, Immy, Preacher's Daughter, none of them here that night
