Born in Beijing and now based in NYC, Vivian has carved a niche in the global dance music scene with her high-energy sets and profound musical narratives. Vivian’s journey in music began amidst the backdrop of Tiananmen Square, inspiring a lifelong quest to express freedom and connection through sound. Her sets defy any single genre as she creates unconventional blends of rare vinyl treasures and innovative original productions. Her dynamic presence and versatility has propelled her to the top of the DJ scene, sharing stages with luminaries like Cassy, Danny Tenaglia, Seth Troxler, Juan Atkins, and David Morales, leaving audiences spellbound from Brooklyn to beyond. Vivian’s commitment extends beyond the DJ booth; she’s a pivotal figure in the Brooklyn Sway Label and a co-founder of Freshly Pressed, a music series that supports youth music programs. Join us in celebrating Vivian Wang, who dances to the beat of her own drum, leaving a trail of joy and liberation wherever she plays.Recently at Dead Letter No. 9, House of Yes, H0L0 · often with Asha Jasz, Devoye, Kiyoshi, none of them here that night
