Christian acquired his love of electronic while growing up in the UK. It wasn’t until he moved to New York, however, that he would attend his first underground party and find the sound that would capture him and inspire him to step behind the decks himself. Since then, Christian has become a staple of the underground scene, a party enthusiast, and an avid techno tourist. After some time as a free agent, Christian’s sophisticated taste in music earned him a residency for Bespoke Musik where he has entranced audiences with thoughtful, layered DJ sets. In 2021 he became a resident of Beachouse in Ibiza, where he provides the soundtrack for sunny days on Playa D’en Bossa. He has also recently joined the All Day I Dream roster, having contributed multiple videos to the All Day I Stream series, as well as being booked to play All Day I Dream events at Space Nightclub in Miami, Cova Santa in Ibiza, and the All Day I Dream festival in California. His music blends a focus on the low end frequencies with a melodic, sometimes melancholic touch. The end result is just as suited to a nightclub dancefloor as a desert sunset, with enough versatility for everything in between. Life came full circle with the brand that helped launch him; Christian currently manages the Bespoke Musik record label and runs the brand with founder and friend, Rocky Raminceanu. The second Bespoke label release was a collaborative side project with German All Day I Dream artist, Powel. The two met in Brooklyn whilst sharing the lineup for Christian’s first Bespoke residency, marking the start of their musical partnership and Christan’s foray into musical production. Legend has it that Hólmar was born under the winter solstice in the remote highlands of Iceland, to one of the Hidden People communes. His elvish mother passed during childbirth, and one snowy night he was discovered by sheep farmers in the valley below, with a note promising them protection of their flock if they raised him as their own. They agreed—wisely. His childhood was spent on the farm, swimming in mountain lakes with his adoptive mother until a national synchronized swimming coach, hiking nearby, spotted him mid-spin. Soon, young Hólmar was training in Reykjavik, on track for Olympic glory—until a career-ending injury ended his dreams, but launched him into another: dance. He formed the Black Widows troupe and toured Scandinavia, winning competitions and the hearts of audiences. His obsession with making show playlists led to impromptu DJ sets at underground parties—until he was unceremoniously kicked out of the troupe for prioritizing decks over dance rehearsals. Crushed but determined, he moved to New York, started throwing infamous parties in clubs across Manhattan, and co-founded Crack & Speed Records with his Parisian comrade Jef-K, releasing his first records under the monikers Mr. Negative & The Spencer Filipsson Experience. A fateful night at a former brothel on the Lower East Side led to his meeting with Greg Oreck—and the birth of Thugfucker. Their track “Disco Gnome” became the first release on Life and Death Records, and Hólmar spent the next decade touring with them and spreading mischief across the globe. Post-Thugfucker, Hólmar leaned into his inner Acid Tourist—a psychedelic transition that involved at least one synchronized dance in the desert, questionable fashion choices, and zero regrets. A beloved figure on the playa, he’s played transformative sets at Robot Heart, Distrikt, Pink Mammoth, and Mayan Warrior, weaving emotion, humor, and bass into dust-kissed memories that still echo across the sands. He launched new collaborations including Beauty/Beast with Philipp Jung, the supergroup Formerly with Anstascia, Philipp Jung, and Kenny Glasgow as well as projects like Lovestruckk with Nico Stojan, and Theory of Light with Brian Cid. He’s also the co-founder of We Give A Jam, a sonic relief movement in response to the Los Angeles wildfires, bringing together 50+ artists to raise funds via a global music community in partnership with Electronic Groove and Listed Bookings. With his first edit All is Full of Love (Acid Tourist and Rohan Aylan Re-Imagination) released on Acid Tourism, this is only the beginning. ọba+flip is a DJ duo based in Brooklyn, New York. They met at an underground techno party in 2017—a connection that blossomed into a partnership in love and music. They’ve been playing together since 2020, turning what began as a shared hobby into a powerful way to express their deep affection for music and commitment to each other. “ọba” means “king” in Yoruba, the first language of ọba’s mother, while “flip” nods to the flip phone she still carried when they met—as well as their shared desire to “flip things up.” Together, they merge their unique lived experiences to provide uplifting, hard-driving sounds with space and groove. Whether playing keyboards with PillowTalk or DJing solo at events like Houghton Festival and Love International, Shane’s diverse musical roots shine through in his song selection and technique. Growing up in New York City as a youth in the Metropolitan Opera, Shane cut his teeth mixing hip-hop and R&B records while studying classical piano & music theory at The Manhattan School of Music. Known for his eclectic closing-set each year at The Sunset Campout and annual Disco Knights slot at Burning Man, Shane’s skill lies in weaving together a wide range of genres and rhythms satisfying audiences from New York’s Panther Room to London’s Saatchi Gallery. Last year Shane was sponsored by Polaroid Originals headlining their opening party in Amsterdam. His summer tour was set to include Love International, Houghton, Dusk among others but the pandemic procured several livestreams instead including Diaries from the Underground with Holmar and several sets from Monarch in San Francisco under the “Songs for Lovers” moniker with partner, Alvaro Z.
