their own biography
the whole biography
Úrsula is a DJ born and raised in New York City, where her sound has been shaped as much by the city’s nightlife as by her Latin roots. Moving fluidly between deep house, soul, R&B, and Latin rhythms, she brings a warm, percussive, and emotionally attuned approach to the dancefloor—one that prioritizes feeling as much as movement. Raised within a city where genres constantly overlap, Úrsula developed an instinct for blending sounds without rigid boundaries. Her sets often begin in a place of intimacy drawing from soulful vocals, slow-burning grooves, and rhythmic textures—before building into layered, percussive energy that feels both grounded and expansive. Whether weaving in Latin influences or leaning into deep house’s hypnotic pulse, her selections reflect a deep sensitivity to timing, space, and crowd. A regular presence within New York’s underground circuit, she has played at Public Records, The Lot Radio, Mood Ring, and more where she’s known for crafting sets that feel intentional, fluid, and deeply connected to the room. Across these spaces, she continues to refine a sound that is both personal and adaptable equally suited for late-night dancefloors and open-air sessions. At the core of Úrsula’s practice is a commitment to music as a shared experience one rooted in culture, rhythm, and emotional resonance. Her presence behind the decks is subtle but assured, allowing the music to speak while guiding listeners through a journey that feels immersive, dynamic, and distinctly her own.Recently at Mood Ring, Eavesdrop, Night Club 101 · often with Callie Reiff, gabby cocco, Ella Strauss, none of them here that night
