Who they are
“Cutting his teeth as an independent show booker in NYC, Connor Beckett McInerney's love for indie rock is long documented in his decade-long career as a professional freelance music critic and editor, during which his byline appeared in storied publications such as Pitchfork, FLOOD Magazine, and Manhattan's own The Deli Magazine (where he also once served as Managing Editor).”

Cutting his teeth as an independent show booker in NYC, Connor Beckett McInerney's love for indie rock is long documented in his decade-long career as a professional freelance music critic and editor, during which his byline appeared in storied publications such as Pitchfork, FLOOD Magazine, and Manhattan's own The Deli Magazine (where he also once served as Managing Editor). After many sweaty nights in the crowd, McInerney took to the booth in 2021, honing his love of electro, house, and garage through a year-long residency at the now-shuttered Café Rosarito (where he hosted his monthly UNFILTERED party). His selections are frequently heard throughout north Brooklyn, where he's lived since 2018.Recently at Honey's, Mood Ring, McCarren Park · often with ogd, Kweku, MASTA KEY, none of them here that night

SAMI has secured several residencies across New York, released his own techno productions, and solidified himself as a top-tier event organizer and booker through his contributions to Le Petit Box (where he’s booked artists like Joy Anonymous, Baauer, Woody Cook, Pat Lok, BRUX, and Ninajirachi). He’s also played a pivotal role in growing Le Petit Box’s online presence, helping the space organically grow within the Brooklyn scene. SAMI’s approach to DJing centers on spinning the right sound for the right crowd, creating cohesion and energy on the dance floor. While his primary focus and production lean toward techno, he is versatile and adept at playing open format for Le Petit Box’s monthly parties, adjusting his set to suit each event's vibe.
