their own biography
the whole biography
TYJAH is a Brooklyn-based DJ and nightlife curator known for genre-defiant sets that channel the raw energy of the underground. Their sound draws from electro, club, and techno—but it doesn’t stop there. With an instinct for pushing boundaries, Tyjah weaves together unexpected rhythms, breaks, and textures to create dancefloor moments that feel both urgent and euphoric. Whether playing late-night warehouse sets or curating parties in New York’s most iconic venues, Tyjah brings a kinetic presence to every room they touch. Their sets are less about following rules and more about creating a space where sound becomes movement, and movement becomes release. It’s this fearless approach that’s earned Tyjah a growing reputation across NYC’s queer and alternative nightlife scenes—where the music is hard, the energy is high, and anything can happen.Recently at Bossa Nova Civic Club, Le Bain, 9 Bob Note · often with OZA, Dj Warning, Michael Magnan, none of them here that night
