Starting back in 1991 ,Oscar G., along with partner Ralph Falcon stormed the world of dance music with a string of underground classics that would forever hold them a place in the history of House music. When gems like Liberty City's "Some Lovin'" and Interceptor''s "Together" were released on their Murk label , they instantly became anthems for Superstar DJ'S like Danny Tenaglia and Junior Vasquez. As one half of the Murk Boys , Oscar G. has remixed the likes of pop stars such as Madonna, Seal, Donna Summer, Jennifer Lopez and Pet Shop Boys ..On the production front Murk have been responsible for eight Billboard #1's including club anthems such as "Fired Up" and the ever popular "Dark Beat". Along with long time partner Ralph Falcon, he is in high demand as a songwriter having won 4 ASCAP songwriter awards. His success as a producer/songwriter aside, Oscar's true passion remains DJing. Since the age of 12 ,when he began playing at school dances ,he could only dream of one day playing for thousands of people in the world's top clubs. Now regarded as "one of the most exciting DJs in the world" by Mixer magazine and having played at legendary venues like Ministry of Sound in London, Pacha in Ibiza, Yellow in Tokyo, Echoes in Italy and Twilo and Vynil in New York, his passion remains in tact. In August of 2001 Oscar began his now legendary residency at Miami's world renowned Club Space. His weekly ten hour marathons have become the stuff of legend. He has been able to create an unrivaled following of nearly 3000 Space-heads weekly. In 2003 he was awarded "BEST RESIDENT DJ" by D.J.TIMES and CLUB SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL. In October of 2003 he will release a double CD package mixed live at Space which will capture the essence of Miami's Saturday night clubbing staple. The compilation simply titled “OSCAR G. LIVE @ SPACE” will be the next volume of the wildly popular STAR 69 series which showcases superstar DJs in a live setting at their weekly residencies.Their RA profile lists Subversive, Kult Records, Nervous Records, petFood and 2 more.Recently at SILO, The Chocolate Factory, 3 Dollar Bill · often with Cristian Arango, Niia Guerra, Ray MD, none of them here that night

the whole biography
A triple threat who lights up a room when behind the decks, in the studio and on stage, TORIBIO is a lifelong student of rhythm. Analyzing melodies and chords with a musician's ear, the Dominican-American artist blends different genres and moods in all his creative pursuits–DJing, producing, singing, playing instruments, and even his skills on the mic. Thanks to a childhood spent playing in church and jazz drumming, the Florida-born, New York-based act has a natural sense of harmony. He takes on the role of musical cartographer in his Afro-Latin band, Conclave, whose debut album was named one of Resident Advisor's best in 2021 and praised by both Rolling Stone and the New Yorker. Acting as the ensemble's bandlander, vocalist, and key instrumentalist, TORIBIO connects jazz, soul, and house from various cultures with style and grace. His speciality in sonic connections are especially tangible in his DJing. Gliding from pan-Latin club to raw electro to jazz to old-school funk, his sets are a masterclass in building energy and tension. Whether playing Boiler Room or clubs in Mexico City and Tokyo, he knows how to work a crowd with selections and transitions that are as precise as they are powerful. As a producer, his edits and originals are DJ weapons, rinsed by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Rich Medina, and Theo Parrish. His original tracks have been remixed by the likes of Louie Vega, Joe Claussell, and DJ Spinna. Known for fostering community through movement, his Brooklyn block parties (Public Service NYC) embody the spirit of New York’s dance culture while his newly formed imprint B.D.A. is quickly becoming known for bringing these vibes to vinyl. A TORIBIO show is a full-body experience— as he always says, “bring dat ass, and your feet will follow.”House on 16, Deep House on 6, Disco on 6 and Downtempo on 6. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on BDA (4) (2) and Bastard Jazz Recordings (1); their RA profile also lists BBE, Fool's Gold, Darker Than Wax, Razor-N-Tape and 4 more. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Gabriela, Signal, Outer Heaven · often with Mickey Perez, Love Injection, MUSCLECARS, none of them here that night
