Hailing from the vibrant city of Marseille and rooted in the pure products of Madagascar, Lamalice's musical journey began amidst the harmonious notes of a family of musicians. Immersed in a traditional atmosphere, he discovered his passion during his formative years, navigating the worlds of Hip-Hop dance and drumming for a rock band. As the beats of adolescence reverberated, Lamalice seamlessly transitioned into the electronic realm, drawn by the allure of House dance—a close kin to the Hip-Hop movement that had initially captivated him. His trajectory unfolded over six years of residencies at renowned establishments like Spartacus Club and Baby Club, both esteemed references in the southern French music scene. These experiences allowed him to share stages with heavyweights of the international House and Techno scenes, sculpting his identity and honing his craft. Recent releases on labels such as Partisan, Positive Future, Sentaku, Shotgun, and Sticky Plastik have garnered acclaim from the press and received enthusiastic support from established figures in the underground music community. Lamalice's stylistic diversity and meticulous approach shine through, showcasing a musical journey that transcends boundaries. His affiliation with Sentaku Music, a record label, event organizer, and DJs crew founded by long-time friend Massai, signaled the birth of a new project: Smooth Operators. A DJ recognized for his finely curated and eclectic selections, Lamalice is also a devoted lover of jam machines. In the true spirit of his artistic universe—minimalistic, rhythmic, and hypnotic—he steps onto the dancefloor not only as a DJ but also as a live solo performer, creating an immersive experience for his audience. In French, someone with "malice" embodies astuteness and skill, possessing more than a single trick. Lamalice embraces this spirit in his project, continually enhancing his versatility and technique. Whether as a producer, DJ, or live performer, he artfully expresses his deeply rooted emotions, creating a seamless fusion of tradition and techno mastery. Lamalice embodies the essence of a true musical artisan, crafting a narrative that transcends genres and captivates audiences...Their RA profile lists BOOOoo! Inspired by artists who, back then, and still today keep the underground electronic music scene thriving, he has quickly progressed amongst the ranks proving himself as a talented and versatile DJ. Moving first to Paris to study electronic music culture and sound engineering, the exposure to a wealth of new and unique sounds and environments led him to make the natural migration to London, the melting pot of music, artists and culture. Formerly a member of Toi Toi Musik collective, an established and admired party and label amongst music heavy weights that is based in London, his newest project has led him to Berlin where his focus remains on growing his potential in the studio and concentrating on developing his label ; Discobar. Two years young the record label has gone from strength to strength successfully hosting showcases across Europe as well as representing a talented group of artists from Odd Soul, The Mole, Toba, Ark, Zendid, Alex & Digby and Robin Ordell...Their RA profile lists Discobar.Recently at Deluxx Fluxx NYC · often with Trent Voyage, Eli Verveine, Alexander Skancke, none of them here that night
