the whole biography
After over a decade in in NYC nightlife, Papa has been quietly making a name for himself in the Brooklyn underground as a DJ for the past few years. Known for his versatility and a no-limits approach to DJing, Papa eschews normal genre boundaries in his sets and brings high octane energy to every club. He has made the rounds at some of NY's most beloved clubs - including Elsewhere, Le Bain, Black Flamingo, Nightmoves & Baby's All Right - and shines on his home court, Good Room. Where Papa has truly taken creative reigns and built a community of dancers, friends & artists, is through his DIY party Terrazza. Taking a Brooklyn backyard and transforming it into a haven for music that has a purpose, Terrazza brings together DJs from all different corners of Brooklyn & greater NY nightlife. The result is a proper, long-format day-into-night ripper that has been growing since its inception in 2024. Papa strives with every appearances to challenge listeners while introducing them to music they might have never heard, drawing from a wide swath of influences - including 90s progressive house, 80s new wave, NY & Detroit techno, & Italian house. The ultimate goal is always an engaged and active dance floor full of diverse and happy bodies!Recently at The Deep End, Good Room, Honey's · often with Extra Meesh, Gee Dee, JÄK-87, none of them here that night
