    their own biography

    the whole biography
Living in Brooklyn by way of Karachi, Pakistan, Dynoman is widely credited as an instrumental figure in the formation and development of the Karachi underground and Pakistan’s electronic music scene. He has been producing electronic music under the Dynoman moniker since 2009, and co-founded Forever South, Pakistan’s first internationally recognized digital label, in 2012. Over the years, his sound has evolved alongside his lived experience, remaining rhythm-forward, percussion-driven, and rooted in movement. After relocating to New York in 2017, Dynoman founded Rare Frequency Transmissions, which he continues to co-run. He is a frequent presence in the Brooklyn underground and self-releases much of his work through Dynoman Music, showcasing a wide breadth of styles and approaches. When stepping into the booth, his sets are shaped by the moment rather than pre-planning, often unfolding without a fixed trajectory as he responds to the energy of the space and the room. In 2023, Dynoman co-founded Tarka, a project celebrating diaspora through artistic practice. In recent years, his work has increasingly explored rhythm, repetition, and shared states through sound, with live performances and recordings reflecting a deep engagement with percussion-led, future-facing approaches grounded in South Asian lineage.

  • Lena Willikens

Cologne, Germany · 13 bookings since Sep 2023

“Lena Willikens doesn’t play the hits.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Lena Willikens doesn’t play the hits. When she’s behind the decks, even her biggest fans often have no idea exactly what she’s playing, and that’s part of the magic. Like all DJs, Willikens of course has a passion for records and is always on the hunt for elusive bits of music, but as an artist, her work doesn’t hinge on any one track, or even a handful of tracks. She’s after something bigger, something that’s truly transportive for those on the dancefloor, and the tracks she plays – whether they’re bizarre slices of synth exploration, some ominously churning proto-industrial stomp or something else that simply defies classification – are all parts of a larger, more psychically satisfying whole. Born and raised in Germany, Willikens first honed her unique approach during a long residency at Düsseldorf’s Salon des Amateurs, a much-loved nightspot that has proven to be a hotbed of free-thinking DJ talent. Outside of the club, she also found a platform on Radio Cómeme, where her Sentimental Flashback radio show allowed Willikens to dive deep into all sorts of unusual musical wormholes. (The Cómeme label was also home to her first EP, 2015's Phantom Delia.) These days, however, Willikens' radio adventures happen on NTS, where she pilots the monthly Lightning Conductor program. Now based in Amsterdam, her curatory prowess prompted an invite from Dekmantel to put together the fifth installment of their acclaimed Selectors compilation series, and she also contributed a track to the label’s run of all-star 10th anniversary EPs. As a remixer, she's been tapped in recent years to rework the likes of Lena Platonos, rRoxymore, S U R V I V E, Simian Mobile Disco and Ana Helder, amongst others. And amidst all this activity, she's also been busy with Phantom Kino Ballett, a collaboration with artist Sarah Szczesny that lands somewhere between immersive audio-visual experience and performance art, allowing Willikens to indulge her transportive impulses in a completely new way. Nevertheless, it’s in the DJ booth where Willikens continues to make the biggest impact. As of late, she’s forged a particularly potent partnership with fellow sonic explorer and Salon des Amateurs alum Vladimir Ivkovic, the two engaging in a sort of mind meld that brings together their shared love of electronic music’s darkest and most bizarre corners. Regardless of whether she’s playing alone or in tandem with someone else, Willikens isn’t the kind of artist who adheres to straight lines. Expect different temperatures, different moods and a dollop of chaos, just to keep things interesting. Circuitous paths take precedence over direct routes, and although not even Willikens herself always knows the final destination, when she’s at the helm, the journey is bound to be thrilling. • Gonno

    Tokyo, Japan

“Gonno is without a doubt an integral part of the current wave of house and techno in Japan.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Gonno is without a doubt an integral part of the current wave of house and techno in Japan. His releases have not only appeared on reputable local labels but have also made their way humbly over to the continent. Gonno always manages to bring an acidy and melodic flavor to his DJ and live sets while still staying true to his house and techno roots. Without fail he draws clubbers in with eclectic sounds and the lost art of storytelling behind the decks/machines. As a result of his infectious sets he’s been playing as a DJ around the world such as UK, EU, US, China, South East Asia, India and Australia since now. Gonno’s release “Acdise #2” on International Feel Recordings in 2011 was his break point to get wider audience, even before its release the EP had frequent play from so many DJs such as Laurent Garnier, James Holden, Francois Kevorkian, Tim Sweeney and Todd Terje, and still continues to be a phenomenal long seller. It’s no exaggeration to say “Acdise #2” is the year’s best Japanese techno tune. In 2015 Gonno released a full-length solo album for the first time in ten years entitled “Remember The Life Is Beautiful” from Endless Flight which gained him wider recognition and appraise from international audience. His remix of Jeff Mills’ “Light Of Electric Energy” was included in Mills’ album “Where Light Ends,” and other recent works include his solo EP “The Noughties” on Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space Records, and a collaboration EP with Nick Höppner “Fantastic Planet” on Ostgut Ton. In past 3 years from then, while he’s still been touring many countries he did some remix for the label such as Cocktail D’Amore Music and Butter Sessions etc., also collaborated with a Japanese drummer Masumura and putted their album “In Circles” in 2018 on P-vine records Japan. It sounds they focuses the new impacts between electronics and afro-jazzy drums, such like resonating South London's new vibes as Giles Peterson introduced their track on BBC Radio in UK. In 2019 he is keeping touring arounds energetically as a DJ, amongst he suppose to play at Dekmantel Selectors Croatia, Berghain, Canada and US from summer till Autumn. On top of that, the collaboration with Nick Höppner will be coming back and their new EP on Ostgut Ton. Also his some remixes will be coming out soon. This his DJ mix for Dimensions is that he recorded exclusively for his first time since 2015, and published formally since Beats In Space Radio show in 2018.

  • Andi

“Electric is the only way to describe Andi’s sets.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Electric is the only way to describe Andi’s sets. The NYC-based DJ, producer, and SYNTHICIDE label/party boss constructs a dynamic and intoxicating flow that’s always palpable between the walls of the foggy, neon-lit dancefloor. Parts sleaze and sultry, Andi’s aesthetic is body music based, thriving on the delivery of the groove and the bombastic highs of a track’s apex. As a devotee of distinct sounds such as EBM, new beat, Italo, freestyle and housey 90s elements, her sets reflect her deep vinyl collection: diverse, yet focused, and completely one-of-a-kind. Her own productions aim to challenge the expectations within the confines of traditionally masculine dance genres. With bassline-heavy grooves and a conceptual emphasis on storytelling with samples taken from long-forgotten erotic thrillers and seedy sci-fi films, Andi adds a wry yet delicate touch to machine music. As the boss of SYNTHICIDE—the internationally known party, label and event series—Andi has cultivated the dark underground scene for over a decade in Brooklyn. SYNTHICIDE started at the notorious club in Bushwick, Bossa Nova Civic Club, where the party still holds a monthly residency. Additionally, Andi is a resident at The Lot Radio and NYC’s Gabriela.

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Certifiably one of the most revered underground DJs of the Netherlands, Job Veerman, better known as Identified Patient, has made a name for himself as an otherworldly storyteller. His leftfield mixes take the listener on a white-knuckle ride of twists and turns, with no genre, tempo, or mood off-limits. The Amsterdam-based artist made his ascension with some of Rotterdam’s finest imprints, all the while filling dance floors across the country and throughout Europe. His style fuses raw aesthetics with unrivaled, relentless energy which he translates into his productions as fluidly as his DJ sets. With a trademark sound that drifts between the experimental sides of techno, electro, acid, dub, and jungle, it was not long before his music gained the attention of Rotterdam-based labels. Hitting Common Thread in 2016 with The Female Medical College of Pennsylvania and then Pinkman in 2017 with a string of releases, and later releasing his Split EP on London’s Brokntoys. These outlets would become the platforms for his early releases which were recognized as instant hits in several charts and clubs throughout Europe and beyond. In 2020 he released his Nerve Deposit EP as part of Dekmantel’s UFO Series. This year he will return to Dekmantel’s imprint, this time with his debut album. Not only this, but he is busy collaborating with Gamma Intel on an EP, also due to hit the airwaves this year. Besides his sensually severe, irreverent productions, Identified Patient has put himself on the map with his high-energy DJ sets, brimming with tension that spills over into eclectic and diverse styles. Despite his rapid transitions his focus never diverges from the quality of his selections. He has become a vital presence at Dekmantel events and was a regular at the Amsterdam institution, De School, firmly asserting his place in the Dutch electronic scene. Identified Patient shows no sign of taking his foot off the gas, with a compelling list of forthcoming releases and an extensive touring schedule. Strap in for this year’s rollercoaster ride; sleaze and satisfaction guaranteed.
Their RA profile lists Dekmantel and Nerve Collect.

  • Vladimir Ivkovic

Düsseldorf, Germany · 17 bookings since Sep 2023

    “Vladimir Ivkovic is a DJ.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Vladimir Ivkovic is a DJ. He’s more than that of course, but as his essence, Ivkovic is someone with a particularly unique talent for selecting records and weaving them into a larger – and often unusually compelling – narrative. Born and raised in Belgrade, he first dabbled in DJing as a teenager in the mid ’80s, but it was only after leaving Yugoslavia (to study in Germany) and later coming back for a summertime visit that he truly immersed himself in the craft, taking up position behind the decks during a series of impromptu parties at a lakeside restaurant owned by his parents. From there, he spent much of the next two decades honing his skills while throwing events like Selected and Substance that played host to a cross-section of boundary-pushing DJs, long before it was fashionable to do so. Eventually, Ivkovic found his musical and spiritual home at Salon des Amateurs, an unassuming spot in Düsseldorf that’s gradually proven to be wildly influential, giving rise in recent years to otherworldly talents like Lena Willikens, Tolouse Low Trax, Jan Schulte and many others, including Ivkovic himself. With its small size, Salon des Amateurs provided something of an open platform, a place where true music lovers could experience DJs exploring sounds and genres that strayed far from traditional electronic dance music tropes. That same adventurous spirit has found its way into Ivkovic’s curation of Offen Music, a label he launched in 2015. Although the imprint’s output is all but impossible to neatly categorize – experimental Serbian rarities sit alongside ambient excursions and moody synth-pop in the label’s catalogue – the label’s open-minded approach and embrace of off-kilter sounds perfectly encapsulates Ivkovic’s artistic temperament. In recent years, that temperament has increasingly found devoted followers all around the globe. Simply put, Ivkovic has become a staple of the European club circuit; despite his many years in the humble confines of Salon des Amateurs, he’s proven to be just as comfortable at celebrated nightspots like De School (Amsterdam), Berghain (Berlin), Nitsa (Barcelona), Kaiku (Helsinki), Sub Club (Glasgow), Phonox (London), Fold (London), Corsica Studios (London), The White Hotel (Manchester), Mutabor (Moscow), Pacha (Ibiza), Blitz (Munich), Zukunft (Zurich), Concrete (Paris), Lux Fragil (Lisbon), Robert Johnson (Frankfurt), Circoloco (Ibiza) and others too numerous to list. He’s no stranger to touring either, having taken extended DJ trips to Canada (September 2017), Asia (July 2018), Australia (January 2018), Brazil and Colombia (March 2018), USA (2019, April 2022, 2023 and 2024), Brazil (September 2022). Even the festival circuit has come calling, inviting Ivkovic and his inventive rhythms to large-scale events like Primavera Sound, Unsound, World Minimal Music, Houghton, Strange Sounds from Beyond, Dekmantel, Flow, TodaysArt, Robot, Waking Life, Terraforma, Dancity, Positive Education, Elevate, Love International, Dimensions, Kala, Sziget, The Crave, and special gatherings like Convenanza … and that’s just a partial list. Still, despite all of these international adventures, Ivkovic has kept his focus on music, especially the dark and often psychedelic sounds that lurk in its unexplored corners. Each month, he distilled some of that love into Lunatic Love Songs, a much-loved and sonically borderless program on Red Bull Radio. He still does it with his frequent contributions for Noods Radio, Kiosk Radio, Oddity Radio or ROVR to name a few. Whether he’s broadcasting on the radio or piloting the dancefloor, Ivkovic is someone who applies a curatorial mindset and a deep love of music to all of his creative exploits. Yes, he’s a DJ, but he’s so much more than that; he’s a storyteller, a connoisseur and, most importantly, an artist.
