Born and raised in New York City, Alex is the product of a true cultural melting pot — a multicultural upbringing that has shaped a deeply versatile and globally influenced musical identity. This foundation has made him an expert across a wide spectrum of sounds, with the instinct and technical ability to move any crowd, anywhere — pushing the boundaries of what defines a genre, and going far beyond the familiar. This is most evident in his sonic imprint, where nothing is off limits, leading to a kaleidoscope of sounds and an eclectic journey one can't forget. With over a decade of experience as both a DJ and music producer, he has released music on legendary labels such as Nervous Records and Trax Records, while also building his own successful imprint, Supermarkt Musik. His performances have taken him to renowned venues and dance floors across the world, earning a reputation for musical depth, adaptability, and energy. Beyond performing, Alex has played an influential role behind the scenes of nightlife culture — working as a booker and talent buyer at the legendary Output, as well as the now-defunct Avant Gardner. He currently serves as booker and talent buyer at Mad Radio, where he continues to shape cutting-edge programming and artist curation.Their RA profile lists Trax Records and Nervous Records.Last at MAD Radio NYC in May · often with AG, Ay Papi, Sid Vaga, none of them here that night
“Born in beats, raised on rhythm.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Born in beats, raised on rhythm. ROLO's journey into music began as a teenage guitarist and vocalist fronting bands at 15. But it was behind the decks where he truly found his groove—sparked by Paul Oakenfold’s legendary Creamfields 2003 set. Since graduating from NYC’s Dubspot School of Music Production in 2015, ROLO has incorporated production craftsmanship with an instinct for unforgettable dance floor moments. His sound is a kinetic blend of hypnotic drum grooves, vocal-driven melodies, and raw underground energy—drawing inspiration from rhythm-driven deep house, Romanian minimal techno, and breakbeat textures. From NYC spots like Rebecca's Bar, McCarren Parkhouse, and The Dirty Library to venues in India, ROLO brings the heat—delivering sets that move bodies and engage minds.Recently at Dada, MAD Radio NYC, Sincerely, Ophelia · often with Pablo Flor, Juan Toca Rico, David Gaviria, none of them here that night
