Who they are
“Armana Khan fuses her Desi roots with global rhythms.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Armana Khan fuses her Desi roots with global rhythms. Her sets are not just music; they are cultural bridges, mixing tabla with techno and bhangra with afrobeat to bring the world together through sound. "Music is a universal language," says Armana. "It can teach us about one another and, perhaps, bring peace." Her mission is to turn dance floors into spaces of connection and harmony. World music for world peace is her vision and her vibe.Recently at Elsewhere, SILO, public records · often with SRI, ARCHANGEL, Nadim Maghzal, none of them here that night
“One to watch.”
their own biography
the whole biography
One to watch. Already booked and busy on international stages, SAMIA is taking over one dancefloor at a time. Of Algerian heritage, born in England, raised in the creative capital of Montreal, and has spent her adult years living in Korea and Mexico, one of the first things you'll notice from a SAMIA set is how she seamlessly includes a variety of genres and cultures to make an explosive mix of ass-shaking sound. You can expect a flawless blend of edits, reggaeton, baile funk, shatta, kuduro, batida, amapiano, latin club, salsa and more. When SAMIA says her sets consist of global sounds, she means it. Not boxed in by music scenes, SAMIA is the founder of versatile Porqueria Party, in which she prioritizes queer, female and POC DJs and artists. She is also a resident of Diaspora, arguably the most important collective for global sounds in Mexico and has played for other notable collectives: Fino Club, Yeti Out, Discoño, WeGoingSound, Frikiton, Link Up Worldwide, etc. Her radio takeovers all over the world include Diplo's Revolution (US), Rinse France (FR), Portalls (UK), Shift Radio (CA), Drama Radio (MX) and regular appearances on Pegate (MX). Recent festival highlights include playing at Axe Ceremonia, on the same lineup as heavy weights like Kendrick Lamar and Peggy Gou, as well as playing at official opening and after parties for Igloofest and Fuego Fuego Festivals. SAMIA wrapped a mini Canada tour with Richtanner and Bastian Bell in 2024. She has shared the stage with Nina Sky, Jael, Haivai B, Andre Power, Dos Flakos, Changing Currents and more. Next up on Samia's radar is Igloofest in Montreal, Canada.Recently at Elsewhere · often with LILLA, Dynoman, Ushka, none of them here that night
“"Riobamba is an Ecuadorian-Lithuanian producer, DJ, and cultural activist based in Brooklyn.”
their own biography

"Riobamba is an Ecuadorian-Lithuanian producer, DJ, and cultural activist based in Brooklyn. Riobamba’s rowdy, deeply researched live sets reflect back nightlife’s power as a site of joy and resistance, amplifying connective tissues between YouTube clips, dembow brujería, bodega soundtracks, and noise hyperreality “suped up with a twisted, industrial gnarl” (Complex). As a self-made bridge between música urbana’s underground movements and pioneers, Riobamba has recently shared the stage with Tego Calderón, Maluma, Nina Sky, DJ Playero, Rosa Pistola, and DJ Blass. The Fader has called her production work “a radically self-expressive piece of futurism that stands against a single, boxed-in definition of what Latinx club music can be.” Riobamba is founder of record label and creative agency APOCALIPSIS, a platform insistent on visibility for narratives by those “ni de aquí, ni de allá” (neither from here, nor there); recent highlights include curating and co-producing Boiler Room’s first reggaetón showcase, and providing ongoing music education in a Brooklyn juvenile detention center. Riobamba leads A&R for the iconic Nuyorican music label Fania, home to groundbreaking artists Celia Cruz, Héctor Lavoe, and Willie Colón, and was previously Music Editor of cultural platform Remezcla. Prior to moving to NYC, she was the first Colombia-based researcher in the Fulbright-mtvU program, studying the subversive power of digital music production in a region enduring the effects of civil conflict. Her original work has been featured in Resident Advisor, Univision, Fact Mag, The Fader, Thump, Complex, and Red Bull Music Academy Radio." - DISCWOMANTechno on 2, Reggaeton on 2, Ambient on 1 and Bass Music on 1. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Orphan Records (2) (1), Place (1) and Sony Masterworks (1). labels on their catalogued releasesRecently at Paragon, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Honey's · often with Ushka, Oscar Nñ, DREAMINSLOW, none of them here that night
